Basic Wepons Guide
By Ztorm
Introduction
This guide weapons was completed after a lot of test in-game and was observed to be the cheaper and useful one to win a game.

Rail gun: Cost -250 Power, -400 materials
It the first weapon available in-game and the cheaper one. 350 power to use. In my book it the best weapon because the low price, first to have and if you are good in aiming you can do a lot of damages. Also this weapon don't require Telescope Array to aim as other wepons.

Missile: Cost 250 Power 450 materials
It a little bit more expensive than the Rail gun, do more damage and can hit a specific target. Otherwise this weapon work with Telescope Array to be able to see and aim the enemies' building. First at all you will spend the price of the missile building + the Telescope Array (-150 Power, -300 Material) only to fire. If your enemies get Data Security Hub to counter the Telescope Array, you will spend more & more money only to use this weapon. At the end this weapon could be expensive.

Laser Cost: -250 Power, -500 materials
It a good weapon if you have problem to aim but take a lot of turn to have. After, this weapon are accurate, powerful but the cost to use in 500 Power each turn if you fired. Also this building work with the Telescope Array and same as the missile the cost can be higher only to be able to use.

Solar Laser: Cost -250 Power, -500 materials
It a good weapon if you have bad aim or if you like to snipe the enemy city. I don't have the power cost to use it. Normally with this weapon you can kill your opponent in 5 turns in aiming the Capital. This weapon are very strong.

Asteroid Diversion: Cost: -500 Power, -900 Material
This is the best weapons to combine with the Rail gun. Do a lot of damages to your enemy, you only need to be accurate and you will kill the opponent faster. The cost is 1200 power only to fire at your enemy. Sound really expensive but if you hit your target, the power cost spend will be satisfying. You can take the control of the game really fast.

Conclusion
At the end this is only my opinion of the weapon you should use. Rail gun combine with Asteroid Diversion are the best way to do a lot of damages at the lower price. Normally, using this weapons should get the victory most of the time.

Nope, late game solar (and normal) lasers can be really effective at destroying cities (the eventual goal) since they are hard to deflect and very accurate. Missiles are good for that too, but along with having to aim there is the issue that they are really easy to intercept.

I found missiles with good intel to work great together, with the occasional laser to knock out kinetic defenses.:steamsalty:

@Maestro Well, I was playing with a friend, and I had both superweapons. My Asteroid Diversion was upgraded with AOE and shot count. After a using the Solar Laser for over 10 turns with 100% view, I hadn't really confirmed victory. Once I hit with the Asteroid Diversion, I killed over half his buildings and damaged the rest. I killed two cities that turn. A.D. is pretty powerful if you hit your target in my opinion.

Lasers lasers and more lasers. The asteroid thing is carp - takes TONNES of research, costs a small fortune to use and is almost impossible to hit a target in a busy solar system and even if you do, it does hardly any damage. Lasers and the solar laser and just win the espionage war. Simples :-)
