"How 2 Escape" is a cooperative escape-simulation game that challenges two players to work closely together, using asymmetrical gameplay and devices, to navigate a trapped character out of a dangerous, puzzle-filled train.

Gameplay Dynamics:

The game consists of two distinct roles and methods of play:

First Player (PC): This player takes on the role of a character named Emy, who is trapped inside a speeding train filled with various obstacles, traps, and puzzles. Their task is to explore the environment, interact with the objects inside the train, and figure out how to progress through the carriages safely.
Second Player (Companion App): This player, representing Emy's brother Johann, uses a dedicated free companion app available on both iOS and Android. Through this app, they obtain crucial information that Emy lacks. They need to guide, assist, and provide Emy with the necessary intel to overcome the challenges on the train.
The train is divided into various wagons, each with its own unique timing mechanism. Players must be aware that they are racing against the clock. If time runs out for a particular wagon, they lose. The passage of time also dims the environment, making it harder to see and interact with puzzles.

Effective communication is paramount. Both players need to maintain constant communication to exchange information, coordinate their actions, and ensure Emy's safe passage through the carriages. The game emphasizes logic, observation, coordination, listening skills, and most importantly, the ability to communicate quickly and effectively.

Storyline:
Emy finds herself trapped in a perilous train journey. Each carriage presents its own set of challenges, and her objective is to reach the brake lever located in the locomotive to stop the train and save herself. Luckily, she isn't entirely alone. Her brother Johann is her lifeline, available on the other end of a phone. Using the companion app, Johann becomes the sole beacon of hope, armed with vital information that Emy needs to make her escape. The duo must work in tandem, solving puzzles and avoiding pitfalls to ensure Emy reaches the brake lever before time runs out. The game offers an immersive experience that tests the players' wit, teamwork, and ability to think on their feet.
