ReShade for Colour Blind Players

First thing first
there is no colour blind mode for Baldur's Gate 3
Unfortunately it is very rare to begin with to have an actual good colour blind mode in a game as seen with Final Fantasy XIV. But, we can help ourselves -at least somewhat- with ReShade, a free tool which allows us to apply additional postprocessing settings onto any game.

That is right - this guide can be used for any game where you miss a colour blind mode!

Installing ReShade
First we get the free tool ReShade from its official website https://reshade.me/

Select bg3_dx11.exe if you play the game in DirectX 11 or bg3.exe if you play the game in Vulkan

Next confirm the rendering API - I play in DirectX 11

Since this guide is for new users of ReShade we do not have a preset to install alongside

What we are after is the Daltonize.fx effect file. The standard setup suffices, however

I recommend to install also the pre-selected SweetFX set. Feel free to add more to your liking

Should you need to remove ReShade from the game you can repeat the process with the installer, it comes with options to modify, update and uninstall ReShade when needed.

Using ReShade

On the first time it might take a while for ReShade to prepare all effects for the game. Once done press HOME/POS1 to open up the ReShade settings. Whether you go through the tutorial or not is your decision.

There is not much to do besides selecting the effect you desire to use

And switch between the available options

You can apply additional effects to adjust the graphics as you need it

Fake HDR and Levels are two effects I like very much to improve the contrasts.

Close ReShade window again with HOME/POS1 and enjoy.

Happy adventuring!
