THE FIX FOR INFINITE CONTACTING RESPAWN SERVERS
Are you a new player or just upgraded your CPU?
You may be getting an error that says "Connecting to Respawn servers. This is an issue with newer 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th Gen Intel CPUs (this may extend to AMD, if you are getting this issue with an AMD CPU, try this guide too) This issue isn't exclusive to TitanFall 2, but is a wide issue with games not being updated for later CPU encoding. This is a fix to get around that.
To fix this Open:
Step One:
Open Environmental Variables. This can be done by going into your search bar of your computer in the bottom left hand corner of your screen and typing in Env or Environmental Variables and it will be the top result.
Step two:
Under "System Properties
" click "Environmental Variables"
Step three:
Under "System variables , click the New option.
Step Four:
For Variable name, make it Variable name: OPENSSL_ia32cap For Variable value, make the Variable value: ~0x200000200000000 . Then hit OK, then it will take you the previous screen, hit OK, then hit Apply, then OK, then restart your system for good measure.

I will also be adding images for some help if you are still confused

If this helped please show me some support on it :)
If the formatting sucks, it's because this is my first guide and constructive criticism is always appreciate. If you need any more help, please let me know, i will try my best and Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. If i can answer them I will
Thanks as always and remember to always play fair

EDIT:1 Thank you for all the support and questions.
Since i have no clue how to reply to comments, i will reply here.
What is OpenSSL? OpenSSL is an open source software library which is used for cryptographic and communication purposes. Lots and lots of application use OpenSSL,

What does this fix exactly do? In OpenSSL* 1.0.2 beta (Jun 2014) to OpenSSL 1.0.2k (Jan 2017) there were bugs that caused issues whether it be crashing or bad a SHA (secure hash algorithm, this is used for encryption and decryption) . This issue was fixed in newer versions of OpenSSL, but games still using older versions of OpenSSL that havent been updated, like Smite,PUBG and others still have this issue. This fix bypasses the issue.
What this does is disable the faulty disables the faulty SHA code in the versions of OpenSSL listed above.
Here is some information:

Information from Intel [www.intel.com]
EDIT 2:
Some people are having issues with the game not opening up. make sure you are editing "System Variables" and not "User Variables"
This is not necessary with 10th Gen Intel. Also the servers for the game are very hit or miss, and hit registration and lag in Titanfall 2 are frequent.
If "Apply" is greyed out, it is fine. I use Environmental Variables often and sometimes hitting "Apply" and restarting your computer is necessary for them to be recognized by whatever program I'm trying to get working properly. For this fix you do not need to hit Apply or restart,
What was edited: I struck out 10th Gen CPUs and AMD CPUs because after further testing and discovery, they are not effected.

Still works (6/24/2025) also the - (hyphen) is supposed to be a ~ (tidal) as seen in the screenshot so If anyone is having issues after copy-pasting this is the most likely cause.

This helped me connect to the respawn servers and I can choose the right one, but when I press any button in the network functions I have an eternal connection. Has anyone else encountered this?
