MW3 Multiplayer Danger

During the last few months it came to my attention that people are constantly complaining about hackers in our favourtie COD. I started playing this game in August 2022 (I knew about it years ago, just wasn't able to buy a Steam copy) and back then I noticed cheaters only few times and they were using wh or aimbot. However, starting from June 2023 these people decided to completely ruin the experience of vanilla MW3 by enabling cheats that crash your game, steal your data, have full access to your pc which makes me and other lovers of this title concerned about the safety when we play. Today I decided to check TDM myself (last time I played it in late June 2023 and got crashed and didn't touch the multiplayer since) I have managed to find a lobby which consisted of 5 people. I would also like to mention that all my class setups were completely messed up and obviously somebody changed it without me even knowing. I quit the game since, people were camping (another nail in the coffin of this marvelous game) and I couldn't even play with the guns I have chosen before.
The point of this message is to make you aware that unfortunately for all of us, this game is no longer safe and playable due to the reasons described above. I genuinely believe that Microsoft and Activision will do something regarding the safety issues of this product because you can not sell the game that can provide somebody an access to your PC. I heard the devs made some safety patch for original MW2, hopefully this game will also receive some sort of reanimation. Thank you for your time and attention, stay safe and spread this information among people who also enjoy Modern Warfare 3. #FIXMW3

I am aware of plutonium and even played it, but I still prefer vanilla 6 vs 6 matches on original maps rather than custom made maps with 20 people in a lobby sweating in a 12 year old game.

I published the exact same guide on a Multiplayer page of this game, however people can not search for multiplayer section of this game in a store this guide was published on a main page of the MW3.

one of the hackers broke my multiplayer and restarted all of my achievements its still broken i just wanted to play it without cheaters ruining it its sad but it is what it is unfortunately

Unfortunately, I will have to agree with you. The game suffers from hacking problem just as any other COD prior to MW19- Cold War . I've heard rumors that they are going to re-release original MW2 and MW3 on Playstation, who knows maybe we will have another chance of playing this gem

i agree it definitely does not the same as the vanilla experience, id much prefer to play the vanilla mp but i can never seem to find a lobby and after an hour searching for a game ill join one that has multiple cheaters, you're also at risk of losing all of your progress which i don't want to happen because i worked hard for it. there is just too many hackers ruining the experience these days

I played Plutonium for some time , have known about it for many years, for me it just doesn’t feel the same as the vanilla version of the game. That’s why I still keep hopping on Steam version

guys you can just use plutonium, its a third party service (free) and it uses mw3 dedicated servers, there are still plenty of players on there and because its 3rd party they are still able to ban cheaters.

downside is you will have to start from scratch but its an option if you really enjoy playing the mp like i do.

Xbox cod servers are weird, I can't invite my friend to my lobby or join him unless we get into a Public Session

The only place where you can still experience og vanilla CODs is Xbox, safe and plenty of people playing there. Ye it is a different platform but still as an option. Stay safe out there

Yeah I'd rather just not risk it really. I worked hard to get my PC dude, I'm not going to lose it to some jobless loser. Which is a shame really because I'd love to play the old COD games online. Black Ops, Black Ops 2, MW2... It sucks that cheaters have ruined the game and no one's really bothered to fix it. Like sure there's plutonium but... idk I wish I could just play vanilla and not have to use that.

But hey, at least there's the campaign and spec ops. Going to play the campaign later today for the first time, so that should be fun.

Hey, I hop on it once in a while, seems playable to me. Yet, the deranking problem and cheaters are still there, however, you are most likely to be avoided by these folks since they usually target streamers/bloggers or if you are extremely good. Still I would abstain from MW3 for some time ..
