ok so lets say its a full moon on the ranch. and you got alot of batty slimes. they all look kinda hungry for some reason. so you try to feed them their fave food. they dont eat it. now your confused. all of a sudden they all stare at you, break out of the coral, and chase you around the ranch, knowing your exact location all the time, you decide to hide inside your house. and now your here. this is known as a "BSBN" (batty slime bite night.).

BSBN is an occurrence that happens every 10 full moons. when a BSBN is going to happen you want to get off the ranch and get as afar away from any batty slimes as possible, as this effects every single one. when a BSBN happens they become feral towards ranchers and slimes, chasing them around and once biting a slime, turning it into a batty slime (does not affect yolky, gold, or lucky slimes). when a rancher is bit, you die, and the file is lost forever, deleted off the drive, no cloud storage can save it either, so you cant get bit. all slimes spawns (generic standard spawns so not gold or lucky or yolky) will be replaced with batty slime spawns.

batty slimes at this time will try to avoid odd onions as they become allergic to them, so if you have an odd onion farm you better utilize it as best as you can. another great way to get away from batty slimes is to go through a teleporter to secret island or something that only the player is able to get to. make sure to empty your vacpack of batty slimes as they will break your vacpack (for 3 minutes) and escape from it, and then chase you around, alerting all batty slimes of your location. they can also break silos and corals for 3 minutes so its best to just get out of the area. if you get bit you have 1 minutes to jump into the slime sea or the bite will turn you into a vampire, deleting the save file. the slime sea is known to cure all diseases, infections, and cancers if it touches them.

if a slime is bit you have 30 seconds to spray it with clean water from your vacpack, or shoot it into the slime sea, forever perishing the slime. the water in the vacpack is made up of %20 non murderous slime sea so its safe to spray onto your slimes to prevent the infection. auto turrets can also help with this as they target infected slimes and spray them with water.

if your in a cave and BSBN is about to start use the emergency return function. its better to lose a few rare resources than to lose your entire save file and have to work up again.

throwing batty slimes into the slime sea before this happens is a great way to survive inside the ranch

use the jetpack upgrade to fly up to places batty slimes cannot get to, such as on top of the ranch or mountains that have no slime spawns
