This Rulebook has been searched for ages by the Dead By Daylight's Community, some people say it has been here since the beginning of this endless adventure in the realm, some say that recently their existence has been acknowledged, some say it had never existed, but after years of searching it's finally here, after endless days spent in the realm, hearing the sound of skill checks, the gens exploding, survivors screaming, endless escapes and endless deaths, as they say.

"Death is not an escape."

But, after hundreds hours of trauma, depression and anger issues, I've gained the knowledge needed to recreate the legendary, the one and only.. "Dead By Daylight's Unwritten Rulebook"

Here you will find everything you need to know in order for YOU and Players who you're matched with to have fun, to end the match with no anger, no insults, no toxicity just a straight up "gg thanks for the game"

With this being said and now that you're enlightened and acknowledged of the history that this rulebook has, I hope you enjoy this rulebook, content consumer, and hope I'll see you again on my future guides.

Let start with the killer's rulebook because they're the ones that decide how the match will go based on what they will do.

Disconnects

If a survivor disconnects before the first generator is done you have to be friendly or at least no longer camp / tunnel / sweat for your life, survivors are already at a disadvantage because they have 1 teammate gone which already makes the match hard, put yourself in their shoes, if you were playing with solo queue and someone randomly disconnects then you get tunneled by the killer you wouldn't like that, would you?

Camping / Tunneling

You're only allowed to camp / tunnel if you've been gen-rushed and lost most of the generators in the first minutes of the match without getting hooks on anyone, or if you've been destroyed in a chase, you are allowed to tunnel and camp the strong-link, show them that you're better than them, but tunneling / camping the weak-link will give no satisfaction to anyone and will only allow the good survivor to t-bag you in end-game and roast you for being bad. You wasted several minutes to camp the person who was also not doing the objectives and didn't affect their match result at all, what did you earn? nothing.

Or if you're a Bubba, you are allowed to camp as a Bubba, because they do not know what else to do anyway.

Noed

Just don't run this perk, it's a horrible perk and unenjoyable for both sides, it rewards you to play poorly and in most cases you won't get any value against a good team. You will also get t-bagged more in end-game and roasted in EGC for not being able to do anything running NOED.

Boops

If you are a killer that can get booped, and the survivor itself risked their life to boop you, you're no longer allowed to down / kill that individual person, they're your friend for the remainder of the match, however the other 3 individuals you are allowed to kill if they booped only after seeing the other one booping.

Donated Items

If a survivor donated you their item in a Hatch / End-Game situation you've been given a peace offering and no longer are allowed to target / kill them. You must let them escape, however if they try to get greedy and try to take the item back, or help people who didn't donate their items kill and camp them to death. We don't like greedy people.

Asia Ping

If your ping is too high just disconnect and dodge the match, hitting a survivor 20m away with a m1 is just so wrong. You will also have a bad time because you will have difficulties moving around but also the survivor looping, because on their end you're crossmap away or shouldn't make a vault hit yet you make it due to ping.

Casual Players

If you see survivors that are friendly to you since the beginning of the match and show no toxicity towards you but just friendly behavior just don't be a depressed sweat, make a good time with them and enjoy the time spent together, god-only knows when you will have the chance to get a casual match where everyone has fun and not get a comp-match with sweaty survivors that are god-tier toxic and will make you quit the game for 10th time.

Have fun

Just have some fun, at the end of the day this is just a game and won't determinate your future and what will happen in it unless you're in a tournament that might change your career.

Skull Merchant

Just don't play this killer, you hate it, we hate it, you're gonna waste your time and survivor's time doing nothing productive, you'll win absolutely nothing out of the chess match, if you genuinely like holding games hostage for hours you're a degenerate, you deserve no love, no sympathy and the worst should happen to you because you're as worthless as a person as the killer itself.

Greediness

If a killer does let you escape you must drop the item you're holding and give it to them before escaping the trial. Don't be greedy, the killer made the effort to resist their intrusive thoughts to kill you and decided to let you escape, at least show some respect and show that you're grateful for their generosity

Toxicity

Unless the killer it's toxic towards you and tunnels / camps you for no reason you must not be toxic towards them, the game itself it's already an toxic environment, no need to assist further into maxing it worse, just say "ggwp" and move to the next game, the killer tried their best, acknowledge that you've been defeated and give up the ego.

Flashlights

If you're always trying to attract attention of the killer by doing "clicky clicky" to them don't expect the killer to simply ignore you and not cause it to tunnel / camp. By doing this you acknowledge the fact that you're trading yourself in for the sake of the team, instead of crying in EGC that you've been tunneled. Just don't do it, be a good sport.

Meta Builds

Killers absolutely hate seeing survivors running meta perks, don't do it, you might make a baby killer main cry, and this applies to the killer side too, run useless perks and only play the basekit game, this way players won't be able to blame their loss on your perks and it simply means they're just bad. (They're bad anyway)

Gen-Rush

Don't Gen-Rush, killers absolutely hate when you gen-rush them and they aren't able to get any kills, they will blame you in end-game chat about the fact that only by gen-rushing you can win, and will cause them to tunnel the first person they see in your game and camp them to death, or even you might be the victim. Fail as many skillchecks as possible and delay the generator as much as possible, that way the killers will have less reasons to cry about.

Altruism

This game is a team game, don't be so selfish, help your teammate that is in danger, don't be a Meg that hides the entire map in corners and lockers the entire game, unhook your team, take protection hits if possible and even trade a hook if the endangered individual is dead on hook. HOWEVER, don't be too altruistic, you have objectives to do too (no, I'm not talking about going in a locker)

End-Game Chat

Don't be toxic in EGC, even if the killer is toxic for no reason or cries as usual just say "ggwp" and leave, that will hurt their killer main ego entirely and will have no solid argument towards you.

Have Fun

This is a game and must not be treated so seriously, have fun and enjoy your time, the time lost in this game will never be given back to you, so you might as well enjoy it while it's there.

And so, you've finished reading the Legendary Rulebook that has been passed by generations, and you've been acknowledged with the informations within the rulebook.

You've been enlightened and now you may start to become a better Dead By Daylight player, and a better person yourself, you can finally become a likeable person and don't die with no friends around you.

And as you read the last word within the book, the book closes itself and spreads the information itself into pieces and spreads along the world, until another individual finds all the pieces required to merge it into one piece and craft again the "Dead By Daylight's Unwritten Rulebook" and repeat the loop.

And so you start to smile and think about how you wlil become a part of the project that will make the community great again.
