A History of Turok - Acclaim Game Continuity Timeline
Por Convenient Spider
This is to give newcomers a look at the series lore. Major events in the games are listed. I do accept anyone's help in expanding this timeline to include anything I may overlook. As stated in the title, the games' continuity is counted. I may accept continuity from the comics the games are based on, however, not everything in the comics continuity is canon to the games. For Example: In the comics, The Primagen is not evil; he just wants to go home.

Timeline - Part 1 - The Birth of the Universe and the Turok Lineage
Before the beginning of time.
A horrifying being known as Oblivion drifts through cosmos consuming planets, invading the bodies of the living and devouring them from the inside, feeding off the very essence of the dead and dying.

The Big Bang
In an effort to travel through time to find out where all life came from, The Primagen accidentally destroys his universe and creates our own. The center of the explosion forms The Lost Land, a place where time has no meaning. Portals are distributed to various worlds and time periods pulling in humans, animals, aliens, and monsters into The Lost Land. Oblivion's original body is annihilated, but its consciousness survives and begins regaining its strength and plots its escape from the Netherscape.

Between then and 700 BC or 2100 BC
Realizing the danger The Primagen possessed, the elders of the Lost Land erected five Energy Totems to keep his powers in check while he was still in a deep slumber in suspended animation.
The Chronosceptor is created before being split into pieces and hidden across The Lost Land.

700 BC or 2100 BC
Pal'Seg'Na'Saquin and his people journeyed across the Great Divide, inhabiting more of what would later be known as North America. During their journey, Pal'Seg'Na'Saquin discovered a small sliver of spatial energy that had been trapped in amber millions of years ago. He promptly named it the Jek'La'Na'Cest, the "Timefire." Hoping that his new discovery could help provide for his people, Pal'Seg'Na'Saquin attempted to free it. Instead, the energy fissure in the amber pulled Pal'Seg'Na'Saquin into a vortex and deposited him in the Lost Land. Pal'Seg'Na'Saquin struggled for years to find a way back home to no avail. In time, he managed to return home to his people. However, in doing so, he unknowingly created a dimensional rift between the Lost Land and Earth, allowing hundreds of Dinosoids—highly evolved dinosaurs—to travel to Earth as well. Pal'Seg'Na'Saquin realized the danger that the Dinosoids presented to Earth. He renamed his family the Cellen'Jek'La, or "Seeds of Fire," for the evil he planted on Earth had to be sown. The Turok lineage was born.

Prior to 426 AD
Ka'Dahn hunted Dinosoids across the Americas.

426 AD
an attack on a Mayan temple resulted in a group of Dinosoids capturing his pregnant wife, El'Thya, threatening to kill her if he did not give them the Light Burden. He had no other choice but to give in to their demands. This was not the end, however. Ka'Dahn had heard rumors of a man with weapons that equalled—maybe even surpassed—those found within the Light Burden. He traveled to a Visigoth province to acquire the atomic breastplate and sword held by that man, a prince named Aric. After obtaining them, Ka'Dahn attacked the Dinosoids who captured El'Thya. Filled with anger, he unknowingly unleashed all of his hatred into a mystical arrow powered by his emotions. When he realized how much his hatred consumed him, every living being around him died, including El'Thya. Ka'Dahn walked home alone and became a soft wind, living a life of non-violence in order to make the Turok lineage not so much an instrument of death, but a symbol of life.

During their scuffle, the two are suddenly transported to the Lost Land after Chief Grey Bear activates an ancient stone with his blood. Shortly after arriving in this strange world, Tal'Set is discovered by the River People and is brought to the seer, Tarkeen. The seer identifies Tal'Set as the legendary Turok. Tarkeen tells Tal'Set that the city of Galyanna is in danger, as the genocidal Lord Tyrannus and his Sleg army plan on destroying it. Tal'Set refuses the Turok mantle, but he has no choice as he's the only one who can defend the humans of The Lost Land from Lord Tyrannus. Bruckner is recruited by Tyrannus so he can get his revenge on Tal'Set. Tal'Set rescues the River Village's Wise Father. The Slegs capture the Suspended City in order to use it as a bridge in order to reach Galyanna. Tal'Set initiates the destruction of The Suspended City as authorized by the city's Senators in order to force the Slegs to retreat and delay their advance. The Slegs unleash the Juggernaut. Tal'Set weakens the Juggernaut then disables it from within. Tal'Set and Bruckner engage in one last battle. Tal'Set is victorious while a critically wounded Bruckner is devoured by scavenging Compsognathus.

He is transported to the spirit world, where he's hailed as a hero, but is suddenly resurrected to face-off against a new threat: The Soulless. This new faction has overrun the Lost Land, and its spirit wells. Turok, upon revival, is tasked with cleansing the spirit wells, while battling dinosaur and cyborg foe alike in an effort to stop the Soulless. During his quest, Tal'Set is given mystical abilites by the spirit elders and weaponry enhanced with spirit powers from his fallen ancestors.

Between 1887 and 1897
The Campaigner attempted to wrest control of the Light Burden from Tal'Set and nearly succeeded. However, a final and decisive blow crushed the Campaigner's body. His injuries were so severe that his recovery necessitated the use of synthetic organs, and his limbs needed to be replaced by cybernetic prosthetics. Some time later, the Campaigner learned of the Chronoscepter, an ancient artifact capable of rending the fabric of time and space. He constructed a massive focusing array at the summit of his fortress that would amplify the Chronoscepter's power, allowing him to punch through the barriers that separate the Lost Land from the rest of the universe. Unfortunately, the Chronoscepter had been broken into eight pieces thousands of years ago in an attempt to prevent its falling into the hands of evil.

1897 - Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (Console) - Turok: Battle of the Bionosaurs (Game Boy)
The Campaigner enslaves the Lost Land. Learning of his plan to rule the universe, Tal'Set vowed to track down the pieces of the Chronoscepter before the Campaigner could locate them. With a mobilized army of cyborgs, raptors, humans, Ancient Warrior, Pur-Lin, and Alien Infantry, The Campaigner hoped to stop Tal'Set from getting the pieces of the Chronoscepter first. Tal'Set ventured to the far distant corners of the Lost Land and acquired all eight pieces of the Chronoscepter. Fighting his way through the Campaigner's fortress, he killed the Campaigner's Tyrannosaurus rex, Thunder, before battling the tyrant himself. After a dramatic battle, the Campaigner was finally destroyed once and for all with the very weapon he sought to claim. His body's cybernetic parts gave out as his fortress crumbled around him. In the aftermath, Tal'Set holds a meeting with Turoks past and future to decide the chronoscepter's fate. It is decided that it must be completely destroyed.

1898 - Turok: Mountain of the Sun - Steam Workshop
Tal'Set journeys to an active volcano to toss in the chronoscepter. The Fireborn guards the volcano and Tal'Set defeats it. The destruction of the chronoscepter unleashes an energy wave that awakens the Primagen. The ramifications of this incident would not be felt for 100 years.

Carl Fireseed is KIA. Joshua is given the mantle of Turok.
The Amaranthine Accordance is trying to bring a massive Dinosoid army to Earth from the Lost Land in an effort to restore dinosaurs to their rightful home. Joshua Fireseed must stop them from sending four deadly Bionosaurs through the portal and prevent them from conquering the planet. He begins his quest on the city streets where Dinosoids have disguised themselves as humans. He finds the Light Burden his uncle left behind and finds a knife and a lens that allows him to see past the Dinosoid's disguises. After the last one is killed, it reveals the location of the Amaranthine Accordance's base and the Incubator of the Bionosaurs. He travels across The Lost Land and battles a Triceratops and outruns a Giant Worm in the desert followed by a battle against a Pteranodon. He enters the base of the Amaranthine Accordance and has a final battle against a massive Pur-Lin. He then destroys the Incubator and makes sure the computer containing information on how to make them is destroyed as well.

1998 - Turok 2: Seeds of Evil - Console Version
The Primagen fully initiates his campaign to destroy the energy totems that keep him imprisoned and nearly powerless. He convinces the most malevolent races of the Lost Land to do his dirty work. Joshua meets Adon who tasks him with the mission of defending the energy totems placed in the Port of Adia, the River of Souls, the Death Marshes; home to the notorious Pur-lin; the Lair of the Blind Ones, the Hive of the Mantids, and lastly, the very ruins of the Primagen's Lightship itself. During his journey, Joshua locates several sacred eagle feathers and offers them to the Spirit Father in exchange for Talismans that grant him superhuman powers that help explore areas he could not reach before. At this time, Oblivion sees the Primagen's success as a convenient way to achieve its own goals so it places fake Talisman chambers in order to lead Joshua into a trap and kill him. As Joshua enters the first of these portals, he's greeted by the voice of Oblivion who taunts him, stating that the Primagen must not be stopped and the balance of the Turok lineage must falter. The voices explain that they are an evil group of demon-like creatures that refer to themselves as Oblivion. They end by stating that their main purpose is to kill Joshua and that his death is "inevitable." Joshua is able to rid himself of the attacking Oblivion Spawn, and finds a piece of the Nuke weapon every time he leaves these areas. Eventually, Joshua reaches their last portal and is taunted once more by the disembodied voices, once again stating that Joshua's failure is inevitable. Finally, Joshua locates all of the keys to open the passage to the Primagen's chamber. Inside, Joshua confronts the garish entity. The Primagen states that he has "prepared well" for their confrontation. After a tough battle, the Primagen is weakened. Each of the Energy Totems are seen powering up, and they shoot blue beacons of light into the sky. The combined beams of energy jet through the Primagen's chamber and strike the being, burning him with their light and force. The Primagen is obliterated in a blast of energy and reduced to a black crater inside his own lair. Shortly after, Joshua is transported out of the chamber and meets with Adon once more. Adon is elated at the news that Joshua has defeated the Primagen and thanks him for his valiant deeds. The Speaker of Forever Light then informs Fireseed that during his battle, she was approached by an unseen force and a feeling of dread had washed over her. Adon further explains that its energy signature seems to exist beyond any fundamental force, and she was unable to identify the force exactly. She also informs Joshua that while she was scanning the entity, she detected energies of the Turok lineage, too, hinting that his ancestors may have encountered this being in the past. Deep within space, a disembodied voice states that "It is inevitable."
Timeline - Part 5 - The Era of the Coyote Knight: The Rage Wars Tournament & The Fall of the Amaranthine Accordance
1999 - Turok: Rage Wars (Console Version) - Turok: Rage Wars (Game Boy Color Version) - Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion (Game Boy Color Version)
Turok: Rage Wars (Console Version) - There's no exact plot for this one so I'll make one up.
The Elders of the Lost Land, not completely satisfied with Joshua's tenure as Turok, hold a Rage Wars tournament with the prize for the victor being the very mantle of Turok itself as well as the Light Burden. Various warriors, mercs, and assassins join in. Some of them want the Turok mantle so that they may rule the Lost Land and others want to assassinate Joshua in battle. Adon joins the tournament in order to protect the Light Burden from falling into the wrong hands should Joshua fail. Joshua competes and defeats every other contestant before being given a final showdown against Tal'Set, his very ancestor, to prove he's worthy of the Turok mantle. He succeeds and keeps the mantle and the Light Burden.
Turok: Rage Wars (GBC)
The Amaranthine Accordance has used dimensional gates to travel to four different planets where they plan to set up bases from which to launch an invasion of earth. Spies for the Solidarity Order give Turok a piece of the Timefire to use to transport himself to these planets to stop the Accordance from accomplishing its goals. He travels to a jungle planet where the Accordance has built laboratories to research and create Bionosaurs, destroys their labs, and battles living slime mutation of Primordial Waste. Then, he travels to a desert planet that has become the training center for the Endtrails and uses a Holographic Masking Projector to disguise himself among the Endtrails so he can place a bomb in the powder magazine. He later battles a Bionosaur Battle Tank. Afterwards, he travels to a frozen planet that houses nuclear reactors that power an Accordance robot factory, destroys it, and battles an Ultimate Battle Robot. Finally, he travels to a volcanic planet that resembles the home world of the Amaranthine Accordance's secret weapon, an Ancient Calamity. Turok destroys it and the Amaranthine Accordance is foiled again.
Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion (GBC)
After years of fighting, the Solidarity Order has managed to sway discontented members of the Amaranthine Accordance to their side. As the First Vicar and the Endtrails lose power, Hellis'Sin, the son of the last bloodqueen, emerges from hiding to reclaim his rightful place on the throne as the new bloodking, now backed by the Solidarity Order. The Amaranthine Accordance has decided to use a dimensional gate to travel to Earth and use the soon-to-be-conquered humans' weapons against the Order in an effort to regain control. Hellis'Sin contacts Turok, knowing that with his help the Order can prevail. Turok leads the fight in a tank on a mission to allow the Order's troops to invade the Amaranthine Accordance's new base in the jungle and battles an enhanced Velociraptor. He then goes on to destroy their ammunition and fuel bases in the sea in an artillery marine vessel before being chased by a Kronosaurus through a minefield. Turok's next mission is free a member of the Amaranthine Accordance who wants to defect, but was caught and imprisoned. He infiltrates the prison grounds in an artillery jeep. After freeing the prisoner, Turok battles a Giant Mantis. A human calling himself The Campaigner (No affiliation with the previous one) has allied himself with the Amaranthine Accordance as an Anti-Turok and devastates the Order's forces so Turok must deal with him personally. He ventures to his base in an Artillery Air-boat through a swamp and battles against him to the death while The Campaigner uses a giant robotic bug suit. Turok must then go after the Amaranthine Accordance's general. He guide's a running bomb to an enemy base entrance by tank in the wastelands. After infiltrating the base, he faces Thunder the Cyborg T-Rex who's been revived to better serve the Accordance. After Thunder is defeated a final time, Turok faces General Gant in a final showdown to end the war once and for all. The Amaranthine Accordance is defeated a final time allowing Humans to live in The Lost Land in peace.
Timeline - Part 6 - Oblivion Returns and the Turok Lineage in Peril
2000 - Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Console Version
Danielle's husband Brian passes away and the tragedy puts the remaining Fireseed clan through hard times. Joshua moves in with his siblings to take care of them. Joshua has reoccurring nightmares about a child imprisoned by the very beings he fought in Oblivion's flesh portals. He believes that the Turok lineage is in dire threat of being wiped out for good. He mentions to his siblings that the "child is the key". The next night, Oblivion's forces launch a surprise attack on the Fireseed home while they sleep. Joshua sacrifices his life so that his siblings can escape. As they drive away, they are attacked, but Adon arrives to save them and take them to a meeting with the Council of Voices. The Council decides that either Danielle or Joseph must become the next Turok. They express worry that they might not be eligible enough. If Danielle were to become Turok, the Light Burden may corrupt her, just as it had the previous female Turok. Further, the Council worry that Joseph's life is too young to risk. While only one of the siblings becomes Turok, they decide to journey together. They see that Oblivion has already begun feasting and infecting Earth. Danielle and Joseph journey through parts of an Oblivion-infected city, the Lost Land, and even the Hub Ruins that Tal'Set had previously been through. Eventually, the duo find a portal within the Lost Land that leads into Oblivion's Headquarters. They infiltrate the HQ and find a large chamber with the alleged Child inside. Danielle approaches the Child to comfort him but is stopped by Adon, who warns her not to step towards the Child. Danielle is confused, and Joseph arrives on the scene telling her the same thing. Adon frantically explains that the Council of Voices, as well as Joshua, had been given false visions of a child savior, that the entire prophecy was a miscalculation. As Danielle turns back to the child it begins speaking to her in Oblivion's voice, revealing that the Child was, in fact, a trap. The Child leaps onto Danielle before she has time to act and begins to taunt her in the ghastly voice previously encountered in Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. Adon and Joseph struggle to get a good shot on the Child, but Danielle is able to shake off the Child as Joseph opens fire. The Child, only suffering minor wounds, cries out "It's too late" and begins to transform into Oblivion itself. Danielle and Joseph then initiate battle with the colossal entity. Soon after, Oblivion's body is shattered, presumably dead. The group notices a piece of Oblivion escape the room and begin to crawl away quickly. The siblings chase the fragment throughout the HQ and find it making its way into an empty room. Inside they find Joshua, and Danielle is about to approach him but is quickly stopped once more by Joseph. Joshua begins to taunt the siblings in Oblivion's voice, and the Fireseed siblings engage in battle with the Joshua doppelganger. Danielle and Joseph are able to defeat the clone, and Joshua coughs up the essence of Oblivion. This reveals that Joshua was in fact alive, and Oblivion was only using his body as a host. Upon defeating the infested Joshua, Danielle and Joseph destroyed Oblivion's Essence with the Light Burdens they carried, ultimately killing the being for good. Joshua begins to say his last few words to his younger brother and sister, revealing to Danielle that he knew about her and Brian, stating that there still is another "child": her child. Danielle became pregnant with Brian's baby sometime before his death and never got the chance to tell him. Afterwards, Joshua tells Danielle to protect the baby and that the lineage will continue, as long as it remains safe. Throughout the story, Adon is seen trying to find ways to revive Joshua. The extraterrestrial has been picking up traces of Joshua's spirit, still alive and well. Adon believes that the former Turok is not truly dead and seeks a way to save him. The Council of Voices takes notice of Adon's observation, noting that she is "playing her part perfectly." They also begin to worry that Adon may find out about their "true purpose." When Adon confronts the Council, they state that she must not save Joshua. She becomes confused and frustrated upon hearing this. She then steps down from her position and leaves to save Joshua. The Council of Voices later replaces Adon with Yvree, the new Speaker of Forever Light. They ask Yvree about Adon's obsession with Joshua, and she states that Adon loves him. The Council tells Yvree that she must stop Adon and that she must prepare herself.

2001
Danielle Fireseed's child is born.
Timeline - Part 7 - The Far Future of the Turok Lineage
Between 2900 AD and 3000 AD
Yanik Fireseed's grandfather brokered peace between the Solidarity Order, Amaranthine Accordance, and the Galyanna Alliance.

3000 AD - 3030 AD
Yanik Fireseed is Turok of the far future. He battled against the cancer eating away at mankind, a cancer born of mankind's own laziness: the Central Ganglia Communal Link, an internet-like network system connected directly into the populace's brains. He hated the people who gave in to this linkup. After being mortally wounded during an attempt to disconnect part of Nethattan, Yanik fell through a fold gate into the Lost Land. The citizens of Galyanna decided to let Yanik die to keep him from disturbing their peace. Yanik later awakens to find himself in an unknown facility, where his body was being reconstructed and rebuilt by a robot who saw him as something more than just another human. It knew that Yanik's fighting spirit needed to be nurtured.
Date Unknown
I don't know where to place these exactly, but they are important.

-At some point in the Turok lineage, a woman among the Fireseed clan is given the mantle of Turok. She becomes consumed by the path of war that her son is forced to retire her before being given the mantle himself. The Fireseed clan becomes hesitant to allow another woman to become Turok.

-A'Kros, A'Lyn, and A'Synt are listed in the Turok lineage between Ka'Dahn and Tal'Set. Not much is entirely known about them regarding who they are nor when they're from. Their existences are shrouded completely in mystery.
Timeline inconsistencies
There are two official timelines involving the Turok lineage that I draw this from. Both have conflicting information.

-In one timeline, Tal'Set has two sons named Aram and Calloway. Both have been Turok and killed in action during Tal'Set's later years. A gap is left between Calloway's tenure as Turok and Greyhawk's tenure as Turok with no known successor to take the mantle. According to Greyhawk's bio, he took the mantle after Redgrave Fireseed, the previous Turok before him, was killed. This brings us to the second timeline.

-In another timeline, Tal'Set's wife and child were murdered by Tobias Bruckner. It's likely that Calloway was never born and Aram was killed as a young child. Tal'Set managed to start another family after he avenged his people. His new son was named Redgrave Fireseed. Redgrave took the mantle while Tal'Set retired and held onto it until he was killed in action in 1939 when Greyhawk took the mantle.

What I offered was a very messy compromise.
