Before we cover the aspects of the Wild Omission in detail, we should take a look at the things you may want to do.

In this guide we will cover creating a world, loading into a world, taking your first steps, resource gathering, crafting, building a house, cooking food, and smelting ores.
Creating a World
To create a world, on the main menu select the play button. This will open the World Selection Menu. From there if you have any existing worlds they will show up here, for this guide we will assume you are a new player with no existing worlds. You will see a button that says "Create New World"

This will open a menu that will allow you to give your world a name. You can name it whatever you like so long as its within 32 characters. Once you have a name you are happy with you can press the Create Button.

Loading into your World
Once you have pressed the create button, the menu for playing your new world will be opened. You have options for hosting a multiplayer game(These options are disabled in the demo), for the purposes of this guide we will assume you are playing singleplayer. Press the play button when ready to load into your new world.

Taking Your First Steps
Once you load in. You will find yourself on an empty beach, with a rock in your inventory. You can either use the mouse wheel or number keys to equip items from your toolbar. Use the mouse to look around, WASD to walk or run if holding Shift, and Space Bar to jump.

Resource Gathering
Before you can do almost anything, you will need some resources. Equip your rock, and find a tree or stone node. You can hold the left mouse button while looking at said resource to hit and gather it.

Along with Trees and Nodes, you will find plants you can gather like Berries or Cotton. You can press the E key to gather them.

There are also loot crates that spawn throughout the level that contain useful items. Items include, but are not limited to Water Bottles, Canned Food, Tools, and Building Blocks.

Crafting
In order to craft a stone hatchet and pickaxe, you will need 275 Wood and 200 Stone. Once you have these you can press Q to open the crafting menu, click the Tools category button, click the tool you want to craft, and if you have enough resources press the craft button.

Building A House
To build the house from this guide you will need 850 Wood. We will be building a small 1x1 starter house. Once you have enough resources, craft a wooden foundation, three walls, one doorway, one floor, and a door. In order to build with them, simply equip the given item. You will notice a preview of the item will appear, if it is red this means you cannot place the foundation here, if it turns green that means you can place it. Press the Left Mouse Button to place the foundation.

Next equip your walls. Unlike foundations which must be placed on the ground, walls on the other hand can only be placed on foundations or floors. Place each wall where you want it and do the same for your doorframe.

Once you have your walls up, you can place your floor on top of the walls. Lastly you can place your door into the doorframe.

Using the Hammer to Repair, Upgrade, or Destroy a Deployable. Simply craft a Hammer. While equiped and looking at a deployable you will notice you can view it's durability. If it is damaged you can repair it by pressing the Primary Button, assuming you have the required resource (Wood, Stone, or Metal.) To upgrade, press the Secondary Button to bring up a menu, to select upgrade drag the mouse to the right and if you have the required resources you will be able to upgrade. To destroy, press the Secondary Button to bring up the same menu, this time you can drag the mouse to the left to destroy it, and get a small refund of the material.

Cooking Food
To cook food you will first need to gather meat from an animal. Find a nearby animal and kill it, either by hitting it with a tool, or shooting it with a gun. Once it is dead you need to gather its meat from its body by hitting it with a tool like a hatchet, or rock.

Once you have raw meat, you will need a campfire to cook it in.

Put wood into one of the campfire's slots and the raw meat into another. Press the Turn On Button to start cooking.

To eat it, simply equip the cooked meat, and press the Left Mouse Button to eat it.
Smelting Ores
To smelt you first need a furnace to smelt your ore in. Open the crafting menu and craft one using 250 Stone and 20 Wood.

Once you have it, place it somewhere you like. Press E to open it and put wood into a slot for fuel and your ore into another. Press the Turn On Button to start the smelting process.
