How to beat the tutorial boss
By Keyboard Fox
Having trouble with the boss of the tutorial mission?

No, it's not just you, the first boss is a big difficulty spike, and the next couple of missions aren't remotely as difficult, and you'll be able to customize your mech once you're out of the tutorial as well. So here's some tips on beating it.

How to beat it:
Here's some things I've learned that help a lot:

1. Be aggressive. Close in to use your sword often, the helicopter can't handle you at close range that well (especially if you're not in front of it). Keep mobile when you're on the ground and get back into the air and close range as soon as possible.
2. Keep filling up the enemy's stagger gauge. Don't let the stagger gauge go down too much (and it will go down fast if you're not keeping pressure on the boss). When you fill the stagger bar, prioritize getting at least one sword in above all else.
3. You can fire multiple weapons at once, you can mash your missile launcher and guns at the same time if they're both off cooldown. You're not limited to firing them one at a time.

It took me eight tries to beat this the first time, but once I understood these three points I went back and beat the mission on my first try.

Good luck!

I was honestly bit disappointed by the fight. All the stuff I heard about it being an incredible wall and a difficulty spike made me expect a "First time playing Dark Souls and struggling with Asulym Demon" type of stuff. But no, I died once after I remembered I have a dodge lmao. It really isn't that scary as people make it up to be, but I did notice the people who struggle the most don't try to melee it or are "try-harding" some strategy and caution.

Lol I'm glad I found this, that means it wasn't just me. Only took me a couple tries but I was like "Dang they really throw you to the wolves, huh" :Toxic_Geralt:

Anyway, the way to beat pretty much anything in this game is to rush it, all weapons have considerable projectile travel time, so just rush in, dodge like crazy and do insane damage to stagger the enemy

i find it funny, took me more to beat DS3 tutorial boss than AC6 tutorial boss.

First tried it a while back and same for an S rank replay. It can't do a damn thing to you when you are directly beneath it, so stay under it to get some easy stagger buildup.

Did it on my second try, on my first it was at 20% and just seemed to pull a billion missiles out of some pocket dimension and slapped the whole thing off my head

This boss is just BS for a tutorial level. Also why is the reset point before the anoying 'analyse the wreckage' thing and not after?
