if you mean for general gameplay, if the thalamus has it you'll hear faint static as you approach, with a headset affliction as you get closer.
it's random which "features" the thalamus can get, so yeah unless you edit the mod it'll take a while before you might encounter one. the chance for radio interference begins at difficulties of about 37 and higher, increasing at 50.

I know which line causes it, but I'm not sure at the moment how to fix it.
I'd recommend disabling this mod in the meantime.
Since you say it happens when you hit the brain, that gives me a better idea of what might be causing it.
