*OUTDATED* OPERATION: BFF ELIMINATION

  • Obviously, you need to increase the budget of ministry of interior and form Secret State Police. There are two ways to start an operation. One is accepting Ejall's deal and changing the law about citizenship. The other one is by declaring emergency.

  • Another part is Operation Bear Trap. If you want to completely eliminate the BFF, you need to join OBT. Not partially, completely join OBT. If you don't join the operation, during the elimination operation, you will kill 4 of 7 leaders, and they will escape to Rumburg. And if you don't reconcile with Rumburg, they will not return them to you *** UPDATE: Rumburg does not extradite them. There is a text citing they do, but it did not happen. I think this part is bugged.

  • Later you will see in the newspapers about the operation, also some intel pop-ups in Bergia. Lileas will provide you a brief information about the operation during the meeting with the cabinet after spy event.

With all that, you are going to make Sordland great again!

Thanks for your contribution. You can launch an operation in emergency runs as well but it is also broken. If you fully participate in OBT and create SSP they seem to eliminate all.

I did the operation by save editing last year and didn't succeed. I've found out that if you amend article 6 and 7 and pass the autonomous zone, you will eliminate the BFF. The modifier turns green and you can mention it to Symon. However, no news articles, and Lileas doesn't even mention it to you.

Next time I play I'll have to use this save edit to start the operation under those circumstances and see what happens

You can also exit the game, and edit the autosave file setting "BaseGame.BFF_EliminationOperation" to "true". You do however have to make sure you turn the steam cloud off and either restart steam or start and then exit the game otherwise steam seems to synchronise the first time you launch the game.

Also it's ridiculously that you have to go in end edit a save file to launch this operation after obtaining information about the BFF. I hope they patch it real soon.

The closest I got was only 1 commander left after the raid but neither Whezeks nor Rummies cooperated further. It could be bugged but there are so many synergies that we could be just missing something, like more instability or open borders... I will keep trying some ideas but it is good to know the success is coded somewhere.

How successfully to edit a save:
1. Make a save right after the "Meeting on reform result" event.
2. Navigate to "C:\Users\UserName\AppData\LocalLow\Torpor Games\Suzerain".
3. Sort by date, open the newest save.
4. Search for "BaseGame.BFF_EliminationOperation" and set it to "true".
5. Proceed with the "Address the nation" event (it's important because the game would otherwise load an older version of your save that wasn't edited).
6. Load your edited save.
7. Check if "BaseGame.BFF_EliminationOperation" is set to "true" in the autosave after the "Address the nation" event.
Please, add this information to the guide.
