BREAKING: Local Gremlin Alchemist Drinks Potion, Turns into Demonic Terror

Pop Fizz from Skylanders: Giants gets summoned into Rivals of Aether! He packs a real punch, and has his signature stance change to boot.


On his HUD, Pop Fizz has a meter that he can fill by landing attacks. Filling this allows him to use his DSPECIAL, which lets him turn into his Beast Mode! He remains a Rushdown, but changes out his projectile game for command grabs! The meter slowly decreases, and when it's out, you're put back out into normal mode.

When in his normal form, Pop Fizz throws a potion out in front of him. These potions do minimal damage, but can knock opponents upward a fair distance, allowing for combo extensions and kill confirms!
When in Beast Mode, however, he gains a short-range command grab. He then throws the opponent upward, which is also useful for starting combos.

Using FSPECIAL changes the color of Pop Fizz's potion, which can be checked on the HUD. The color of Pop Fizz's potion changes the stats of the projectile thrown for NSPECIAL, USPECIAL, FSTRONG, and USTRONG, but mainly what happens when they whiff. Red potions spawn an explosion of acid, green potions leave a puddle that lasts for a long time, and purple potions spawn a minion that helps in the fight!
When in Beast Mode, however, Pop Fizz moves forward, unleashing a command grab! If he lands the grab, he can unleash a STRONG attack onto whoever was grabbed!

By using USPECIAL in Pop Fizz's normal mode, he throws a potion below him. The potion then explodes, launching him upward!
In Beast Mode, Pop Fizz leaps forward with a hitbox that has alright killpower. The star of the show for this move is, if you try to walljump, he clings onto a wall and launches himself upward!

By pressing DSPECIAL while Pop Fizz's Beast Form meter is full, he transforms into his Beast Form. Using DSPECIAL while in Beast Form reverts him back to his normal form.
