Bubble Poppin' Booty Rockin' Menace Muriel SUPPORT BUILD
By Biggles
I've a bit of time spent on supports with 96 hrs on Muriel, so I thought I'd share a Muriel build that's working really well for me since no ones really sharing ♥♥♥♥ anymore.

ITEMS

Muriel's philosophy revolves around mitigating damage with shields before it happens, and getting sik sik trick-shot bubble-pops on them players while keeping the place warded up. The idea is to build a little defense to everything out of the gate with Miter and be a good supp, but after that it's magic damage building time to make them red-bar wenches start sweatin' when they see you approach. Get an orb of harmony then build the kinc horn, finish Preist glove and go Mutant Po ASAP. This will be for every support game, almost regardless of comp. The next item can be a bit of a personal favorite spot but just make sure it has cooldown reduction on it. I love nano machines for this slot- they let you get back up to full health within seconds after disengaging so you can sit around some more and throw your right-click to let your homies get where they need to instead of needing to go back to base immedatley. Just make sure you're popping the mana flasks often- I think mana regen is bugged this patch (08/05/23).

The next two items are where the builds will differ, the main build I have listed is for countering a more magic damagy team but if you're getting blasted by a kallari or a crit build sparrow or something heavy physical, grab Guardian of Haileen (PRETTY MANDATORY) and sweet life, or any other cooldown reduction + phys protection item you want.

KARMA

For "karma" talent things, I go Consolation (the wolf head) to give homies immense power and land EVEN SIKKER bubble-pops, and Scout Ahead (gold eye) to be a good lil supp and do the thing all proper like. Which is to say, ward up like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

HOW TO MURIEL

Bubble pops are done by placing your E shield (preferably in a location where a homie gets a shield from it), then popping it with a Q right on top. You'll want everything on quick cast. This will start doing some actual damage to them after you build Mutant Po, but just getting orb of harmony while building preist glove lets you start harassing them with it, but WATCH YO MANA. This also happens to stun enemies for a quick moment, so use it to let your team get hilarious kills on people and cancel some ults from popping, like Narbashes! The rest of Muriel is shielding homies while auto attacking anti-homies.

Knowing when to shield is paramount to your "healing" style. We're a preventative healer, not a reactionary like traditional. This means understanding what hurts the most from your current enemies, and generally when the person you're playing against is personally going to use that big bang nonsense.. because some people use things wrong, but still predictably. Pay attention to when that grux likes to Q pull and cleave, or when that Murdock likes to harass the homies with his incessant little barrage. Shield the most likely to be affected homie right before their cooldowns up for it again and you know they'll try it.

Random tips to have more fun:

> You can go to dangerous places to ward if your ults off cooldown, if you get caught just lmao right out of there (but don't do this before your team can possibly grab an objective or else chat will get a lil feisty over your wasted ult)

> Right at lv 1, feel free to Alt + right click to shield yourself while running out of a bush or jumping up towards the enemy supp and ADC, then blast them with a few free auto attacks for some ezpz fully shielded pokes, then run like hell behind your ADC. This is always available between bubble pops if no homies are in danger later on as well.

> Like said above, you can cancel Narbashes ult during his wind-up by bubble popping him. Always do this, for Muriel players are superior to Narbash players in every way and they must be reminded of this at every oppertunity. You can also cancel some other things with it, but man do I hate narbash whooo wee.

> Bully the hampster. If you lane against a Maco, right click shield against every one of his Q lobs. Bubble pop him as he tries to E jump away (You can also do this with a dekker's jump, but a good dekker is a scary dekker and it is HIGHLY ADVISED to NOT taunt a scary dekker). Bully the rodent to death with your ADC often for a fufilling Paragon: The Overprime experience.
