Have you ever asked yourself why two lockpicks weigh the same as a whole shank of meat? Or how hoods weigh more than a tunic? You're in the right place.

I have reasoned that through the average weight of an apple, weights can be reconfigured as 1 pound equaling 10 in-game weight units. I took liberties in knowing that this is a game and balance is balance.

Surprisingly, most items were already reasonable to their real life standards in this weight axiom. I simply altered some that were out of line while trying to keep attention to balance. I tried to think about these from a quality of life frame of reference overall.

Some smaller mask items aside, the weights of these new hats are fine assuming the mining helmet is cast in iron.

The wolf, bunny, bear, and stag helmets are the most intriguing to me for a weight pass as they have the old iron helmet weight and AC but with benefits per blessing level... so I think they are solid mechanically and logically for their weight values.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree, the rock's weight could probably be reverted to 20, and torches may need an increase.

However, balancing potions is a nightmare because you need to keep many stacks of them.

By what I could find, the average volume of a single gulp of liquid is around 17 mL and a small glass bottle is ~190g. Converted to pounds, this makes a small glass bottle with a single gulp of liquid about 1/2 of a US pound. This matches the in game weight of potions already.

If anything, this means that I should make empty bottles 4 units of weight each instead of 1.

these tweaks make the game a lot easier, I think it would be worth increasing the weight of more items. Also, potions and maybe alembics need changes, according to the logic of these changes, 2 bottles of liquid weigh like a small stone.
I also believe that items stored in the backpack should reduce their load on the player, because logically it is more convenient for you to carry them (for example, so that items in the backpack slots weigh 1/4 less), but this is already nitpicking and probably does not need in change.
I used a translator to write part of the text, it's just suggestion and I'm flattered anyway who decided to change this silly weight in the game ❤
