A small patch for UWE Cannibals to enable head hunting of the creatures lurking in the forests, similar to Cannibal Hunting is Now a Job

Credits to @peaceofcrack, for their excellent idea they shared with me on Discord!

Place it below UWE to take affect.
Will more than likely require Importing Game to generate the new items.


Cannibal Heads can be sold anywhere in Kenshi without issues, as they're hated by absolutely everyone on the continent (probably even other Cannibals!). They can also stack to 5 per slot, which can give around ~2500 cats or so per stack of them. You can build a "Cannibal Head" storage box, only after you research "Camp Outfitting" (this unlocks a multitude of other storage boxes, so seemed fitting). Thank you @Anrhaa for the suggestion.

Spoilers for Side Quest below (UWE only, for now...):
There is also a hidden side quest. You can take the Cannibal Heads to the "Bounty Captain" in Bastion, who will provide small (+1) relations per head you show them, ultimately giving you a lot of reputation with the Cannibal Hunters. (There's a Dialogue limitation to this, so technically it's every time you show them an individual item, not your entire stack in your inventory. They also don't take these items away, so you can *technically* get their relationship to +100 with a single head lol).

If you take the "Grand Wizard Amulet" from the Cannibal Grand Wizard (leader of the Painted Tribes), you may be guided on a quest to find the Rightful Owner of this medallion. Be careful, the Amulet is a Death Item for the Grand Wizard, so your bounty reward will be cut in half!

This is compatible with UWE natively, and shouldn't be affected by any updates to UWE.

I will probably need to balance the cash rewards in the future after further testing. Please provide any feedback, if possible. I'm also not a very good artist, so I'm using a generic sack icon from the base game..

New update!

* Updated various item descriptions to point to new "Quest Points" that can help guide Players in the right directions.

* Updated Quest Dialogue in the "Bastion", the Bounty Captain / Warden should provide additional information.

* Updated the Cannibal Heads Box to be 6x6 to account for "Stolen" heads that might mess up a stack of "Non-Stolen" heads lol

Sorry for the late reply, thought I already replied previously lol.

I'm going to try and update this mod soon to see if I can make a storage crate that is large enough to sort things around. I believe there's a way to clear the Stolen tag by using storage boxes, but I could never figure out how to do it lol :steamlaughcry:

A storage box would help overall though, since the heads are 3x3, so like a 6x6 box can be used to sort "Stolen" tags from non stolen ones to help them all stack properly (hopefully).

Ah okay lol, yeah if they're marked Stolen (how do you "steal" a head?) then it won't stock as intended. Kind of like regular Kenshi behavior.

Cannibals Expanded I'm not too sure, since this is originally designed with UWE's various different cannibal groups (which I think *is* Cannibals Expanded merged into UWE's mod).

Thanks for the help with the spoiler bit, also the cannibal heads are the same as the mod yeah, although they're listed as Stolen. I'm using the Cannibals Expanded mod so that might be altering it a bit.

They're all the normal Cannibal Heads, with the same descriptions like in the Pictures of the mod?

I might need to check them again just to double check. For the spoiler part:

The Town is called "Deadcat" / "Deadcatun", depending on what part of the quest you're on. I might need to re-do the descriptions for various items in this mod to make it somewhat more revealing *which* area I'm referring to, but Deadcat is around North-West of the Bastion. This part of the quest is *revealed* once you find another "Warlord" you might have to deal with, also in the same general area.

Essentially, the idea was trying to guide Players in the right direction without outright telling them to go "X" area lol. Kind of hard with Kenshi because it's a big free roam map, and I didn't want to inject *too much* Dialogues into other NPCs as those tend to break when UWE, etc. updates.

Heads aren't stacking up to five in my inventory, I'm also having trouble finding the town near the bastion, i did find something called Fort Yataba directly north of the bastion, idk if that is related but there was no sign of it when i went there

It was a cut idea for various reasons (might reimplement it again later), but in the area there is another town that contains another quest, not at the Bastion, but slightly North-West of it where you can sell them for 50% additional profit. It also acts like a safe haven area. :cactusrum:

is there someone specific I can turn the heads into or do I just sell them wherever? I ask, because I went to bastion and couldn't find anyone who wanted to take them

It's more of a "guiding you in the right direction" sort of thing. There's a few more things to do up there, but I didn't want the description to be too spoilery. :cactusrum:
