Easy Nutrition Tips
By KarlF
some of you seem to struggle with the seemingly overwhelming metabolism system in scum, but that's what makes the game interesting.
i have a background in the medical field thus i did struggle with it as it is shockingly realistic on so many levels...
but don't be intimidated by it, as in real life, you don't need to be a nutritionist or a doctor to survive and not have a hard time with ur nutrition and health.

the first tip is:

1. BE LOGICAL: in general, use this as a rule of thumb not only for nutrition but all aspects of scum, do not treat it like a video game, it is closer to a body metabolism simulator so if you keep eating olives from those branches and nothing else... well guess what ? as in real life you will have serious problems, just try to keep Ur food as balanced and feed Ur character stuff you would eat in real life in quantities u eat in real life as well and you should be fine.
2. MACROS, HOW TO NEED FOOD LESS FREQUENTLY : as in life, scum has macro nutrients being carbs, proteins, fat, saturated fat, fiber, sugar and alcohol. to keep it simple it works like this : ur body will consume ur reserves of sugars carbs and fibers and alcohol first with fibers and sugars being the fastest to deplete while regular carbs take a bit longer, these are meant to protect ur protien and fat content as when u hit 0 carbs ur body will start using up ur protein and fat and we do not want that. if you do not consume carbs you will constantly find ur self consuming kilograms of meat every few hours to stay alive, while if u eat a watermelon slice for example aftr a meaty meal will make u not need as much meat... maybe like a skewer or steak every once in a blue moon, however when ur fat to protein ratio (which proteins should be like at least 3 times more than fat to be safe).
you will find ur self consuming a much smaller amount of food when ur carb reserves are higher

3. DO NOT REACH OVER 100% energy: you will lose dexterity and gain weight in fat which you really do not want. a good thing to do is eat some food item with a big carb content and good carb to kcal ratio like a date or a melon or bread ... then try to maintain ur energy levels between 60% and 80% it will make things way easier for u to manage in the long run.

4. for those who struggle with vit D i found the best way to maintain it is stocking up on sardines, one can of sardines can fill ur vit d up from 0 to full and they can be found for free in huge quantities in the sardine factory on the island, you can also buy milk for cheap when u go to the traders, 10/10 m,ilk will fill up 60% of ur vit D. as for vit K u can buy some dandelions for super cheap which will overkill fill up ur Vit K.
