Leveling Tips!
A lot of people are wondering what the best way to level up is in Dungeon Defenders Eternity. Well, the answer is simple! however you like! there are a few ways I will talk about here in this post, but they primarily consist of:

  • Playing Campaign
  • Leeching (make sure to ask first)
  • Powerleveling yourself

Lets start with campaign
If you are a brand new player to Dungeon Defenders Eternity, then my suggestion to you would be to simply level a tower builder, i would suggest an apprentice/adept or squire/countess. These two classes tend to have the best starting towers for new players and easiest way to get through the levels. The way I managed to level was doing campaign in order up until i reached level 20 on normal, then I began again and set the difficulty to hard. If you are playing alone, the maps with bosses will be very difficult, so either skip those maps or open the game to the public and hope someone can help you. This is by far the slowest way out of the 3 but it is a good way to get some decent gear and learn to play the game.

Leeching (god that sounds bad)
This is a very popular way for people to level new characters. Simply join a map, like palantir or city in the cliffs and kindly ask someone who is building if you may leech experience while the level progresses. Most people dont mind since it does not really hurt them too badly to have you in the game, but if the build is not strong enough, it may cause issues, so once again, ask first. I typically do this with alts and then swap to a main character when things tend to get difficult.

Powerleveling yourself
This is also a common way to level a character quickly, but you also have to be able to do it. For example if there is a character that I want to level, I would typically go to the last level in the eternia campaign (sky city) and build with my apprentice, then when everything is set up, I would switch to the character that I want to level. This way is more tedious but it is effective. You can get a character from 0 to 60 in a few runs if you are using experience boosters (if you are ever lucky enough to find them).

As you can see, leveling is pretty simple in Dungeon Defenders Eternity with the current cap of 60, you can do a bunch of characters in a couple hours if you do it right. Just make sure to use the experience boosters. My favorite maps to level are, Palantir, City in the cliffs and Sky City. Thanks for reading, keep on defending!

I have to agree with U about leeching .. its good to ask befor U will change your char on lvl 0 for example .. I had a few games when people do like this without asking about and after they are surprises why I sell all my traps and quit from game .. People .. no one will kill U for ask about catch an experience .. just ask .. it is not so heavy to do :)

no problem :) one thing also to keep in mind, only do the difficulty setting that you are comfortable with, insane is the most xp, but hard isnt too far behind!
