Вооружён двумя цепными орудиями покрывающими верхнюю и нижнюю полусферу, а также рельсотроном в передней части корпуса. Имеет ближнюю периметральную защитную систему состоящую из четырёх разрядных катушек. Обилие вооружения породило недостатки в виде плохой гидроизоляции конденсаторной системы, из-за чего при затоплении отсека электрики неменуемо следует выброс части накопленной конденсаторами энергии.
