Easiest Method
Edit the config.ini and use Set Blaster command. See comments.

How (the more cumbersome method)
You can't run INSTALL.EXE in Windows, so follow these steps:

1. Browse your local files.

2. Insert line in the dosboxMOO1_single.conf. Namely, INSTALL.EXE

3. Run from Steam and select Reconfigure Hardware Options. I used one of the Roland options. You may have other options, or not.

Hopefully can figure out what you need or want. Ultimately, you should have selected a sound card for music and fx.

4. Remove INSTALL.EXE from conf text file. Run game.

Notes
You may notice the game is slower loading now depending on what you selected. That's probably related to DOSbox emulating the more "advanced" sound hardware. I find the trade off worth it, but you may not.

There may be a more efficient and superior way to do this, but this is what I did.

Hope you found this useful. I would like to see this kind of sound support included in the 100m fork[github.com], which is currently my preferred version to play.

Easier to just edit the config.ini and use Set Blaster command.
