White Night

What if one day, you wake up as a patient in a hospital, without any memory of yourself?
What are you going to believe? Or... Who are you going to believe?...

White Night is a total conversion mod for Amnesia: The Dark Descent; and focuses on mostly storytelling.

This is an old-school type thriller. Although it's not mainly a horror game, it'll have its scares; and will offer beautifully designed levels in an old-fashioned asylum with various puzzles to solve. You will discover what happened to David, what he did, and why the mod is called "White Night". But, how are you going to be sure what's been told you, or what you see is the truth?

Are you ready for our session today? Don't worry, I'm here to heal your mind.

Note: In order to activate the language, select it from White Night settings, then restart. It will start with your selected language.

Note that White Night was released back in 2011 and it barely holds up at today's standards. If you're interested in more, an update, or even a remake, please follow me for any news and future projects.

Played it from start to end. I'm sorry, but it's one of the worst things I've ever played (and I played some really abysmal shit in the past). I don't know if the original author has made anything else after this mod, but, if they did, I really hope they got better. Like... A VERY LOT BETTER.

I understand your frustration, but I do not appreciate the tone and accusations.

I'm the original and sole creator of White Night, and White Night was released back in 2011. Some of the current players weren't even born yet.

I only saw @Irish_Birb having the said issue and they didn't follow up with the log I asked for, so I presumed that it was either resolved or one single instance. So, I don't know who these people that I'm ignoring are.

If you are still having the issue, would you kindly send/link me the following files, so I can look into issue?

came back here to see if the dev even fixed the failed-to-load config, and of course, they didn't and are obviously ignoring anyone who is having this issue cause it seems like i'm not the only one having this problem i wouldn't be surprised if this guy isn't the original creator of this custom story no other custom stories not even the great work give me this issue

the error i get is failed to load config file and the hpl only states :initializing steam workshop content provider...success retreiving subscribed workshop items... 2 items found and thats pretty much the only thing in there tbh sorry for posting it here i forgot how to send it or link something like that

Does any of the other total conversion stories give you an issue?
Or is it just White Night?
Can you send/link me the C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Amnesia\Main\hpl.log after the crash?

i try to launch white night in custom stories inside the game but it crashs am i doing something wrong?

decent mod, I found it a bit boring, it's not really my thing since it's mostly psychological but I guess some people like it
