This guide is an English tutorial of the game Bakery Magnate, since there aren't much useful English guides available (up to June 2023).
The primary purpose of creating this guide is to keep note to all useful info found after playing the game for personal advantage. Besides, this guide also aims to help beginner players get a rough understanding on how to start the game in the first place as well as understand how to play and progress the game since there is no clear tutorial in the game.

Bakery Magnate is a bakery shop business simulator in which you sell items as a merchant and trying not to bankrupt. It (maybe) was made in Russia, thus you might see Russian language in the first launch.

Game Menu

For people that don't understand Russian, simply click "Languages" from the menu and change to English. For reference, image below shows the languages available in game.

Besides, players are able to modify graphics settings such as screen resolution and mouse sensitivity from the "Settings" menu, as shown in image below.

Assuming now that you have started a new game and had been welcomed by a weird unknown legacy cutscene about escaping from a robbery, there are only 2 environments, the storefront and the cargo area, in the game. Images below shows the main game environments.

You can put required items such as cheese, milk, ice cubes in the fridge. Although I was not sure if chilling them will help increase the storage period.

This is the door to the cargo area. Simply walk near it and a prompt will be displayed. Press and hold the button prompted (which is "R") to interact.

This is the cargo area. Pretty much nothing. All stock items you buy through the computer will be delivered here, and you would need to take the items from here to the storefront.

Every single day there are daily rental bills to pay. You can pay them here.
Beware that the electricity will be cut out if you don't pay the bills after 3 days.

You can also change product's selling prices. However be careful that customers will complain for expensive prices and the shop reputation will be deducted.

This is the online shop. Basically this is where you buy and restock the products. But products here are more expensive than the sellers with predefined set of products in the email.

2. Dismiss trailer but stay in storefront (mostly used after finished restocking items and would wanted to remove all wooden crates).

For example, items shown in image below. Of course there are others that aren't listed in the image below which are not for sale.
Generally, these items will instead be used in manufacturing products or used as utilities. As an example, some will be used as ingredients to make bread, or battery used to power up torchlight, or cleaning refill bottle used to refill the window cleaning spray bottle.

Throughout the game play you will find that the window in the storefront starts to becoming dirtier, and you might get emails about your customers complaining your premise's cleanliness. But how to do the cleaning?


Follow steps below to keep the windows shiny:

1. If you don't have the spray bottle and one bottle of cleaning agent, buy them from the online shop in the computer. (If you are buying the spray bottle for the first time you don't need refill bottle as the spray bottle is already fully filled)
   
2. Put both spray bottle and the cleaning agent into the inventory.
   
3. Press TAB to open the inventory.
   
4. Drag the spray bottle into one of the boxes in the bottom of the screen.
   
5. Right click on the spray bottle and click "recharge".
   
6. When the spray bottle is equipped, you will see "120/120" at the bottom-right of the screen. This means you can spray 120 times to clean the window.
   
7. Repeat steps above when you're out of cleaning agent.

Hi, dad, the rector called me yesterday and said that I will be expelled if I don't pay the debt for the past month ($800) by tomorrow.

Thank you, dad, will you have $200? I met a girl today and I want to take her to a movie.

They go in black, usually say the phrase - <which is better, the head or the ear?>. Better serve them, otherwise the store's reputation may suffer very much. They only take specific items. The supplier's account I don't really remember, whether 497878, or 496666, the threshold is like $200, the maximum is $400, I don't know what they sell, but you need to be careful.

Be careful with transactions! They intercept the extra amount, then it will not be returned, so double-check your numbers.

In the game, there aren't much hints or prompts telling what are the main keys and how to use them, except for some obvious interactions such as using the computer, and opening/closing the shop window. Below shows all the keys that can be used to interact with things in game.

These section is about some tips based on what I discovered in game.

• In the beginning, it's REALLY HARD to make money. As someone like me who isn't good at business/economics, try to sell cheese-pigtail, ice cream and/or round bread. They make the most money, though costs a lot to buy too.
  
• (Tip found from online source) You can turn off the lights in both rooms (storefront & cargo area) to save electricity bill. It will be too dark to see things, so buy a torchlight (cost $400) from the computer.
  
• Buying products from the advertising sellers in the email are more cheaper than buying from the online shop in the computer.
  
• When the shop reputation reached 4.0, there will be a chance that the mafias (people with guns) will come kill the customers. This affects the reputation as dying customers results to deduction of reputation point. Solution: buy a pistol (costs $1000) and (perhaps) kill the mafias.
  
• (Tip found from online source) Customers not buying your products? Place the products to the window shelf (i.e. the front shelf near the window)!

As a conclusion, hope this guide helps you understand how to get start on the game so that you will not gets hated to this game easily. In my opinion, this game was interesting in terms of simulating as a normal bakery businessman. The only downside is that it's pretty hard to make money but easily spend all of the earned money.
