Introduction
I planned to make only a bestiary guide that list each enemy weaknesses, but then I realized that there are a lot of things that I missed when I played the game so I ended up adding more information about other stuffs.

If you are lost and need a direction, feel free to check the World Map. If you don't know where to go next, feel free to check the Items section. I list the items based on where you can get them the earliest.

If you are having trouble with enemies, make sure you are not attacking them when they are facing your side. A passive approach would be to position yourself diagonally from an enemy, then attack it once it moves within your range. Move again to position yourself diagonally. Repeat until the enemy is dead. If you want to be more aggressive, you also can move around and hit the enemy whenever you are not facing its front side. Also, make sure you are on the attack mode whenever you are attacking. You can alternate it with the X button in keyboard, or A button if you are using a gamepad.

As for modes, always talk to people in defence mode. Switch it to attack mode whenever you are attacking enemies. Defence mode has an increased health regen, albeit with lesser damage.

The typical main quest progression would be Tower > Mansion > Castle, although you are free to sweep the optional dungeons before you tackle these. Enemies in the world map scale based on your level.

Quest
Christina's Ghost
Woman: So cold... So cold...

Gerhard: What are you doing here? This place is dangerous. Let's get you out of here.
> Gerhard attempted to grab the woman's hand, but his hand went right through her.
It can't be...

Woman: I must tell Mihai that I'm finally free... We don't have to hide anymore...
Tell Mihai... I'm finally... Free...

Gerhard: Who is he? Where can I find him?

Woman: So cold...

Gerhard: This is strange, but I should ask around.
I wonder if I've heard about this woman before...
Head inside the graveyard (from town: head east, then south). Inside, go east/west, south, and then west/east. Talk to the woman. You'll realize that she's a ghost. Talk to the graveyard keeper afterward; his house is located in the southeast corner of the map. Your next destination is the church (from town: head south, then upper east). Talk to the priest to perform the exorcism ritual. Now, return to the graveyard keeper so that he can send his regards, and then to Christina to finish the quest.

Learning Magic
Monk: Welcome to the Temple of Morrigan, Goddess of Witchcraft. I sense potential in you, noble one.

Gerhard: You are mistaken. I have no talent for witchcraft.

Monk: Pay your respects to the Five Magic Spirits, and they might help you reach your true potential.

Gerhard: What do I need to do?

Monk: You'll have to figure it out on your own. Once you're done, come back and pay your respects to Morrigan.
If it works, I'll teach you magic. But in the meantime, I'll pray for your success.

Gerhard: Thank you.
Head inside the temple (from town: 2x south, 6x east, south, west). Talk to the red sorcerer (monk). You need to pay respects to 5 statues scattered around the world (requires 1 gold each). Here are their locations, written from the town:
  • Nature statue: south, 2x east
  • Fire statue: 2x east, north, east, south
  • Wind statue: 2x south, east, south
  • Water statue: 2x south, 4x east, 2x south, west, south, east, north, east
  • Earth statue: In graveyard (east, south from town): head east/west, south, then west/east
Once you are done, return to the temple and pay respect to the Morrigan statue (requires 5 gold). Talk to the monk several times until you learn all 3 spells (Stunner, Blade Dance, Flash)

Lost Tome
Monk: Welcome.
There's a problem.
A tome that contains knowledge about a powerful spell got left behind in the old temple.
If you find it, please bring it to me. We'll continue your training afterward.

Gerhard: What happened to the old temple?

Monk: We refused to bend to Stefan cel Rau's will, so he desecrated our home.
We had no choice but to move here to buy some time and regain our strength and numbers.

Gerhard: Are you sure he won't follow you here?

Monk: If he does, we'll fight to the very end.
This quest will happen once you finished learning Blade Dance and attempt to learn another spell from the monk in the temple. Just visit the old temple, located east, north, 2x west, south from where you are located. Once you get the tome, return to the monk in the temple.

Doppelganger
I'm not sure what trigger this quest, but once you beat a Doppelganger, head to the town and enter the first house that you find (the one near the guard). Talk to the woman to get Medicine.

Bard's Tale
The Blackwell Tower
The Blackwell Tower to the north of this village casts a long shadow over this land. It's a place where wise men perform magic rituals at night, and flashes of light can be seen from afar. They have many apprentices attracted to this power, and they hope to learn magic and hone their craft. But one couldn't stand it, as she saw her friends lose themselves in the shining bright light. Their spirits got crushed by the powerful magic, turning them into the head magician's puppets. And thus, as she saw it, she made up her mind and decided to make a run for it. So she snuck away at night, locking the tower behind her. She ran through the forest and made her way through the river. She dug up a hole on the shore and hid the tower key there, promising to come back and save her friends. But as she walked away, she heard a loud noise, as the dark figures flew to her from the tower. So she ran, and kept running, but couldn't escape too far. When they caught her, she gasped, as her former friends looked at her with their empty eyes. And she got executed on the spot, making a horrifying sight for everyone among us.

Explanation: it tells the location of the Tower Key.

The nobleman's wife
Years ago, a nobleman saw a woman during his morning stroll. His heart skipped a beat, and then he knew, she was the one. He wooed her with expensive gifts and poetic words. It wasn't too long before they decided to tie the knot. But once the honeymoon ended, her heart wanted more. And thus, she found a lover once her husband went to war. It wasn't a nobleman or someone near her. She fell in love with a graveyard keeper. She'd sneak through the graveyard at night, taking the long path to the west. He had warned her, many times, to avoid the eastern path if she wanted to still have a heart beating in her chest. But one day, the news came. Her husband is dead, she's free again. She ran to the graveyard keeper to tell him the news, but got careless and went the wrong way. And thus, no one has seen her again. And yet, it is said you can hear her if you go that way. But don't follow her voice if you value your life, or you'll join her in the afterlife... Ahem!

Explanation: it gives a hint for Christina's Ghost quest, along with an information about the Graveyard.

Count Radu
The wise rule of the late Count Radu brought peace and prosperity to this land. But as he grew older, he got paranoid, and eventually, he lost his mind. He ordered to build a web of tunnels in case he needs to escape. Then, he turned his castle into a maze to seal his enemies' fate. But he didn't account for the fact that his true enemy was in his mind. A few years later, he ran from the castle, butt-naked and covered in filth. He ran, and he ran and kept screaming that he was about to get killed. As he entered the dungeon to try to escape, he ended up sealing his fate. Count Radu the Deranged has never been seen again.

Explanation: it gives an information about Count Radu.

The hunter and the dog
Years ago, an old hunter lived here with his little son and his dog. He'd go out hunting every day, leaving the dog to look over his son. Their life was stable until one day, he came back and saw blood all over the place. His dog was sitting there, wagging its tail, but his son was nowhere in sight. Enraged, he grabbed his sword and killed his best friend. But then he heard cries coming from another room. He ran there and saw his son hiding under the table next to the corpse of a large beast. After burying his dog, the grieving hunter hid his sword in the dungeon. But even with his sword gone, his guilt haunted him for the rest of his life.

Explanation: it tells the history of the Shortsword located inside the cave.
