In this guide I'll tell you about how to get the most rare achievement in the game. I'll share some tips you can use to beat the game on Keter difficulty.

There're 60 achievements in Steam-version of the game (SCP Containment Breach Remastered) in total. The most rare is called "Survival In a Nightmare". While I am writing this text, there's only 0.9% of players who could beat the game and get it.

In this guide I'll tell you about my method about beating the game in hardcore mode.
And then, In the end, I'll give you some important tips which will help you in the way to 100%.

The passage of the Steam version of SCP:CB Breach (Remastered) is considering. The seed specified in the guide can generate a map that will be partially or completely different from the map in the original game.
Diffuculty levels, their differences and what the Keter difficulty is
There's 5 different difficulty levels in the game totally, named after to SCP Foundation Containment Levels:

  • Safe

    Light difficulty, which is recomended for newbies. Saving is available in any time, in any place, except intro and ending sequences. Upgrade chances for keycards in SCP-914 are the highest.
    Hostile SCPs are less agressive and move with a normal speed, and SCP-173 encountering chances are the least.

  • Euclid

    Medium difficulty. Saving is only available near terminals and monitors. The speed speed of hostile SCPs is increased by 10 percents and they are much more agressive. You have better chances of encountering all hostile SCPs, including SCP-173. Upgrade chances for keycards in SCP-914 are reduced.

  • Keter

    High difficulty, a Hardcore I would say. You're not allowed to save at all. Any mistake costs you the loss of all your game progress. Upgrade chances for keycards in SCP-914 are the lowest. You have the highest chances of encountering each of hostile SCPs. The speed speed of hostile SCPs is increased by 20 percents, and SCP-173 сan be waiting for you around any corner.

  • Custom

    This allows you to customize game difficulty by yourself, toggle One life mode, availability of saves, and select common game difficulty.

  • Apollyon

    Same as the Keter difficulty, but you only have 2 inventory slots available.

For your convenience, I've posted here the table with keycard upgrade chances with SCP-914 depending on the game difficulty.

Walkthrough - The beggining
Seed I'd used in my walkthrough: die

Before you start your run, I'd recommend you to practice, learn the map, hone all your actions to perfection. For this, I'd also recommend to you to set Custom difficulty level with Save everywhere and Agressive SCPs parameters enabled and common difficulty selected to Hard.

For your convinience, all key locations are marked on my S-NAV. Before you start, disable the developer console in your game settings. You won't get any achievements if you open the console while playing.

So, let's go.
Walkthrough - Light Containment Zone
After the containment breach you should leave the SCP-173 containment chamber and stair down. Next thing is the cutscene during which the guard accompanies the scientist to the door.
After the cutscene sequence is over, you must open the door and move to the right side of the facility, until we find a huge storage room.

While the statue breaks the scientist and the janitor's necks, you should take a gas mask and a level 0 keycard from the shelf.



Next thing is, you should go back and find a small warehouse (room with posters). Open the door with a level 0 card. Take a level 1 key card and a helmet from the shelf.



Turn around, go to the test chamber, which you should have already passed by twice.
SCP-173 will be waiting for us in the test chamber. Not blinking and not turning around, you should take a level 2 keycard and S-NAV navigator. Don't forget to close the door when you will be leaving the chamber.



After that, you should go to the left side of the complex until you find the SCP-914 test chamber.
Close the gates.



Take a medkit from the self. Upgrade these items:
Gas mask, S-NAV - Very fine
Medkit, keycards - Fine (You should get the level 3 keycard)

Now, if you put on improved gas mask, you'll have an infinite stamina.
And you will be able to navigate in facility really simply with the fully-improved S-NAV.

As soon as you got the level 3 key card, you should go to the right side of the complex and find the containment chambers for SCP-1499 and SCP-500. Take SCP-1499. This gas mask will help you avoid being chased by SCP-106.



  • Head back, make a detour and reach a corridor parallel to where SCP-1499's containment chamber is located. Open the door to the control center of the light containment zone with the level 3 keycard, go up to the monitor room and switch the lever.




    Once you do that, SCP-049 will appear in the hallway and head towards the control center. You can hide behind the servers stations and wait for him to leave, or run away from him. A matter of taste, but in the second option you have to be extremely careful. Remember that SCP-049 moves faster than on Safe difficulty, and SCP-173 is most likely waiting for you downstairs.

    After exiting the control center, turn around and head towards the checkpoint. We will not return to this part of the facility again.

Walkthrough - Heavy Containment Zone
After you pass the checkpoint, you should pass the tesla gate and reach the crossroad. Be really careful: SCP-173 might be hiding here. Go left.



In this coridor you may encounter SCP-106. Be ready to put on SCP-1499.



Going further, you will find an elevator to SCP-049's containment area.
You should go down on the elevator. When the doors open, the lights go out.

SCP-173 will most likely be waiting for you in SCP-049's containment chamber. I advise you not to pass by the camera itself, but to go into the room in front of it and switch the power of the elevator to the generator. Then you should go to the containment chamber and take the level 4 keycard from the desk.



Do not turn around from SCP-173, return to the hallway and go to the next room. Turn on the generator lever. At this point, the light will turn on. Without turning around, head down the corridor, avoiding the zombies (SCP-049-2), until you hear the sound of the elevator arriving. This is SCP-049. Now run to the elevator you came in without taking your eyes off SCP-173. Call the elevator.

Once you went up, go in the direction you came from. Turn right at the crossroad and find the elevator to SCP-106's containment chamber. SCP-173 can wait for you near the elevator either upstairs or downstairs.




Cross the bridge to the observation chamber. Most likely, SCP-173 will be waiting for you here as well. Take a level 5 card from the shelf.



Take the elevator and go straight to the right side of the HCZ. You will find an elevator to the warheads. I recommend you to go down and take a bulletproof vest. Disabling warheads or not is a matter of taste. This only affects the ending.



Going further, you will come across a collapsed wall near SCP-513's containment chamber.



Turn left (your eyes is directed away from the collapsed wall), open the door and find the elevator leading to SCP-008's containment area.



Go down, put on your biohazard suit, and lower SCP-008's hatch.

After you took the elevator, go further along this corridor to the first crossroad. Turn right and pass the checkpoint.

Walkthrough - Entrance Zone
Since this moment, I recommend you to wear the helmet you picked up in the Light Containment Zone. Go forward and you will immediately find the control center. Inside, switch the right lever. SCP-173 will most likely be waiting for you downstairs.



You should return the same way to the Heavy Containment Zone. You pass SCP-513's containment chamber. This is how you find the elevator to SCP-079's containment chamber.




You will most likely be met by SCP-173 in the SCP-079's containment chamber. Be extremely careful. As soon as the computer turns on, you should return to the control center and raise the lever.

After you left the control center, go straight along the corridors. Be careful and listen for sounds outside the doors. There might be a task forces there. Reach a corridor with a glass wall and office tables. In this office, you can hide from the MTF.



After passing this corridor, you seem to find yourself at a crossroads. Turn right and go to Gate B. Now you can open it and take the elevator to the surface.



On the surface, put on your improved gas mask and run to the exit, dodging the guard shots.
Watch the cutscene and enjoy getting the achievement.
Results
If you could beat the game, congratulations.
You will not encounter SCP-966, SCP-939, and (most likely) SCP-096 during your playthrough on this seed. There will be no obstacles in the form of locked gates on your way. You will encounter an MTF unit with a low chances on your way to Gate B. The passage will take a minimum of time with sufficient skill.
Some tips for your successful playthrough
It is absolutely not necessary to play the game on the same seed as I had, and according to the instructions I gave you. That's why I want to share with you some tips that will help you complete the game with only one life.

  1. You be extremely careful, inspect every corridor. SCP-173 can hide behind any corner, behind any door. If your screen begins to blur as you approach the door, it means SCP-173 is right behind the door.
  2. Blink before open the door and before the elevator doors will be opened. SCP-173 may arrive in the elevator in unexpected moment or wait outside the elevator.
  3. Listen to the sounds. A Plague Doctor (SCP-049) or an MTF squad may be waiting behind the door.
  4. Use a gas mask upgraded to Very fine for infinite stamina. It will be a really bad if you won't be able to escape from a hostile SCP at the most inopportune moment.
  5. Use SCP-1499 to hide from the Old Man (SCP-106). Wear it only after you make sure that there's no SCP-173 nearby.
  6. Always close the doors behind you. Otherwise SCP-173 will stab you from behind at the most unexpected moment.
  7. Before the run, practice, learn the map, the key locations, hone your actions by setting the custom difficulty level to Save everywhere and Agressive SCPs and setting the overall difficulty level to Hard.
  8. Do not hurry. Haste is your main enemy during the passage.

Has anybody thought about the custom map? It's a simple map that can be completed on the Keter difficulty to earn an achievement.

Achievements tend to get broken for this game for some reason so just try to reinstall the game and they should work fine. Also a HUGE ADVICE is to go for lvl 5 keycard with scp 914 because it gives scps less chance to kill you (this means that for this seed you only need to go to the right side of the facility to scp 008 before getting to entrance) not to mention how hard it is to get lvl 4 keycard down in the doctors chamber. This made my run much easier and I hope it will help you too.

It's more easier to get the level 4/5 from upgrading a level 3 in 914 than going on the side quest that is doctors room. Peanut and darkness is spoopy.

The game IS kinda buggy, because I remember one time I had just been killed in the end instead of got ending screen after I went downstairs on gate b.

I don't think this is the problem because a guy commented below that he used save and quit and got the achievement, I just don't want to do it again, this game is really bugged
