Straten Messkurwagen Armored Car - M1916 Mod. 2

ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ
By 1914, the previous conflict between New Ross and Oerlika had escalated into a war, centered around the Rossian territory of Donkk. Donkk had declared itself independent and was recognised by Oerlika, with the great empire wishing to have control over the rail-lines connecting it's arctic territories to the mainland. With the war taking a step from naval fighting to land invasion, all 3 nations' war departments were in dire need of development.

By late 1915, New Ross had developed a reliable armored car; the 1915 Wilbur-Henry Scout Car. It was only a field modification of an ambulance, but it's effect was great, and it would eventually go into 2nd hand production. Until early 1916, no country would see a dedicated production model, as most armored cars were either produced modifications of existing cars, or prototypes.

This would change with Oerlika's production of the Straten Messkurwagen m1916; an armored car designed specifically to patrol and fight along the coasts of Donkk. With a 6 cylinder engine that could reach a 75 km/h top speed, and a dual-machine-gun designed to suppress even veteran infantry, she would begin to see nearly immediate off-the-line service in both Oerlikan and Donkkish units. Being named after a mink-like mammal of Oerlikan nativity, the Messkur, Rossian troops would call it the "mud rat," often having to face it in their amphibious assaults along Donkk's muddy shores.

Of course this vehicle is fictional, but it's heavily based off of the Rolls Royce Armored Car, which saw use in both ww1 and ww2 among British forces.

This build includes:

-Single-player functionality, with a mouse-controlled turret and decent first person visibility.

-Dual, Consecutively firing machine-guns for longer firing time while still maintaining a decent rate of fire.

-Utility bed in the rear set up with seats for infantry, but also able to hold small accessories.

-Towing capability for artillery or trailers.

-Armor capable of stopping small arms and machine-gun fire.

-Spotlights and a cabin light for night fighting.

-A klaxon, for when you must awoog.

Thank you to Phisher for his transmission and ECU, and to Blake for letting me test this vehicle in a living nightmare anarchist scenario.
