Ellis was sent into a blind rage when he saw all his melees had been replaced with crappy workshop mod custom weapons, so he brutally murdered his once hero and role model Jimmy Gibbs, Jr and stole his racing suit and assumed his identity.

Comes with literally everything.

Ellis, sadly having to kill his role model and racing legend Jimmy Gibbs, Jr. during Dead Center, decided to take the clothes of the now deceased Gibbs not just to remember him forever, but basically become the man he once looked up too.

Y'know, I can totally see Ellis donning the race suit of Jimmy Gibbs as a memento to honor his memory. If he can't keep the car, he can at least keep the clothes.
