PS5/PS4 Controller Support Complete Fix
By Darth Thesis
Support for PS5 controllers is now possible. This fix may likely also works for PT, although I have yet to test. Same with Chaos Theory. All PC ports of the Splinter Cell games vaguely support Xbox controllers (albiet with needed fixes) and PS controllers need a bit more modification.

Step-By-Step Guide
1. Open "SplinterCellUser.ini" located in steamapps/common/Splinter Cell/system

2. Scroll slightly down to [Engine.Input] and replace the following lines...

Joy1=Interaction
Joy2=duck
Joy3=scope
Joy4=jump
Joy5=QuickInventory
Joy6=BackToWall
Joy7=
Joy8=
Joy9=SwitchROF
Joy10=ReloadGun
Joy11=altFire
Joy12=Fire
Joy13=IncSpeed
Joy14=NightVision
Joy15=DecSpeed
Joy16=ThermalVision
JoyX=Axis aStrafe DeadZone=0.2
JoyY=Axis aForward DeadZone=0.2
JoyZ=Axis aMouseX Speed=0.007 DeadZone=0.2
JoyV=Axis aMouseY Speed=0.007 DeadZone=0.2
JoyR=
JoyU=
AnalogUp=MoveForward
AnalogDown=MoveBackward
AnalogLeft=StrafeLeft
AnalogRight=StrafeRight

3. Download DS4Windows and auto-detect your controller. Get it here: https://ds4-windows.com/

4. In your DS4Windows settings tab, check "Hide DS4 Controller"

5. Profit :)
Important Notes
Firstly: you can navigate menus by using the TrackPad as a mouse (clicking it as a button acts as a left click). This also allows you to select items in your inventory without needing a nearby m&kb which I don't believe has been possible until now.

Secondly; after starting each level, scroll up on your mouse to allow Sam a full range of motion. If you don't do this, you won't be able to move faster than the default speed. Just scroll up a bunch of times every time you start a level.

I haven’t played Enhanced yet, waiting for the maps to get finished or whatever else they might add so I haven’t tested. I think they fixed Xbox controller support in it, maybe you could use steam input to “mask over” it with your PS controller

I have the fanmade enhanced mod installed and can't find [Engine.Input] anywhere. Any suggestions?

CalicoJack I remember this working for PT, I’ll check it out again next time I bang out the classic splinter cells again and update this when I figure it out.

Narwhal, the file is called "SplinterCellUser.ini", scroll down to [Engine.Input] inside that file or use CTRL+F to quickly locate it. You can open the .ini with notepad. There are many values listed under engine input, those are where you’ll need to change some of them.

Sadly, this does not work for me on SCPT.
Tried with DS4, DS5, X360.
