So, you want to jump back into your favourite mail delivery simulator? Well this time you'll be delivering a different kind of mail.



ST - 5 (Average)
PE - 10 (Skilled in the making and usage of bombs)
EN - 8 (Above average survival skills)
CH - 1 (Not a talkative person and spent large portions of his life isolated)
IN - 10 (168 IQ Genius)
AG - 5 (Average)
LU - 1 (Unlucky to be caught)

No implants to be used because the industrial revolution etc. etc.


Explosives - Obviously.
Survival - The man spent years surviving in the wilderness, this is a must have.
Repair - An expert in crafting explosives, I think this a good third choice.

For levelling be sure to get Explosives, Survival and Repair to 70 ASAP in that order of priority. Science will also need to levelled to 50 for a specific perk. Other than that feel free to level whatever you think is appropriate.



None of the traits really apply to Ted, maybe built to destroy but it's fine to leave these blank.



Level 2 - Heave, Ho!
Thrown weapons fly farther and faster, great first perk for your explosives.

Level 4 - Educated
An extra 2 skill points per level, Ted was very well educated with a Masters degree in Mathematics from Harvard University.

Level 6 - Demolition Expert
Increased damage with explosives, perfect.

Level 8 - Demolition Expert (2)
More of the same.

Level 10 - Demolition Expert (3)
More!

Level 12 - Robotics Expert
25% extra damage to any robot, the more damage done to these terrors the better.

Level 14 - Hit the Deck
Ignore a portion of damage from any explosive, Damage threshold increased by 50%.

Level 16 - Splash Damage
All explosives have a 25% larger area of effect, don't get caught in the blast!

Level 18 - Mad Bomber
Special bomb recipes unlocked at work benches, you could take this earlier if you find it convenient.

Level 20 - Bloody Mess
5% extra damage with all weapons, a favoured perk of most players. Will help you greatly especially on higher difficulties with some of the challenges the later DLCs have to offer you.

Beyond this point the RP perks are pretty much done other than 'Roughin' it' at Level 28, this one requires Survival 100 and will give well rested bonus when sleeping outside. Pick and choose as you please. I recommend Life Giver and Jury Rigging but it's up to you.



Weapons
Explosives, lots of explosives. But it's nice to have some firearms to fall back on.

Clothing
There are a plethora of items you could wear, the 'Field Hand' and 'Caravaneer' are somewhat good choices or one of the many pre-war items you can come across in the world. None of these are perfect but we must work with what we've got. You could also wear an armour set of your choosing if no protection gets too tedious for you.



You won't be needing any companions for this journey, Ted worked alone.



Boomers

It's plausible Ted would bond with the Boomers over their shared love of explosives and be on friendly terms without spending too much time in each others company.

Brotherhood of Steel

Perhaps the faction he hates the most, their obsession with technology makes him sick to his stomach.

Caesar's Legion

Ted would be very opposed to the tyranny and slavery employed by Caesar's Legion. Individual freedom is something he was a strong supporter of.

Followers of the Apocalypse

Ted would be on good terms with the followers, he'd see the good work they did in their community and see human potential flourishing with little to no interference from technology.

Mr. House

Mr. House and the machines he surrounds himself with would be an abomination to Ted, he would have no qualms destroying him.

Great Khans

Ted would see the Great Khans as a prospering people without the usage of technology, he may not approve of all of their actions or drug production practices but keep an amicable relationship with the tribe.

New California Republic

Ted would be strongly opposed to the New California Republic. Big government and big business is something they very much support.



The first major faction ruled out would be Mr. House, after having a C4 thrown down the Lucky 38 elevator shaft and destroying the apparatus keeping him alive he would be taken out of the picture. The remaining factions all have extreme flaws in Ted's eyes including independent. He would have to work with Yes-Man a product of technology taken to it's extreme, a remnant of Mr. House's legacy. And Ted strongly dislikes huge elements about the NCR and Legion also. So ultimately I will leave it in the hands of the player on what endings to choose if any to this journey.
