Quick Chart Overview
Spreadsheet link[docs.google.com]. Go here if you'd like to see all roll chances and go through the sources supporting this guide (as well as links to all 3952 rolls[docs.google.com]).

For 1 boon without Worthy Offering, the chance to roll successfully is about 25%. With lvl 3 Worthy Offering it improves to about 50%.

For 2 boons without Worthy Offering, the chance to roll successfully is about 45%. With lvl 3 Worthy Offering it improves to about 74%.

Fun Facts
  • The most powerful boon is Bloated. It's most effectively used by Heroes thanks to their armor and damage reductions. Nothing like tanking tons of damage and getting bloated!

  • You will never be rolling for more than 2 boons at a time in most of your games.

  • It's a good idea to invest in level 3 Worthy Offering to get Bloated 50% of the time.

  • I never got a double Daemon Prince rolls during the experiments!

  • Level does not affect boon chance rolls.

  • Heroes cannot transform into Chaos Spawns or the Daemon Prince.

  • It took me 10 hours of save loading to get the data that supports this guide.

  • Boon rolls aren't predetermined, which means reloading a save will lead to different results every time. This fact made the guide possible.

Yes, more boons = more triggers.

I think that Bloated is quite overpowered, but only on heroes due to how HP relates to armor. It's not that great on infantry.

Interesting!
In conclusion the chance of a boon triggering increase with the number of boons available(researched)?
At times it seem that a unit can get more than one Boon at a time and when having the upgrade which add missing boon units built start with 2 Boons (I think, but at least one)

Personally and from my own experience I don't like Bloated as it very rarely trigger, the same is for the other Boons. I use my Daemon Prince to fill in the blanks just to realise it's mid or end game which means all my infantry is obsolete anyway. :(

Great guide to uncover a mystery I'd wondered about, and with your signature excellent graphics. I put a link to this in my guide.

Good stuff; I appreciate the time that went into this. Curious to see what you have to say in your Chaos guide.
