Boar Tusk Helmet With Transverse Crest for Diomedes

Beskrivning
This mod gives Diomedes' 3D model on the battle and campaign maps a boar tusk helmet. It also gives him new, shorter hair that will fit under the helmet with no clipping.

Boar tusk helmets consist of a leather base coated with slivers of boar tusks, with an estimated 40-50 boars needed for one helmet. Boar tusk helmets have been found at Mycenae and Dendra (near Argos), and are directly referenced by Homer in The Iliad; for example, Odysseus is given one before carrying out a night raid against the Trojans.

The boar was also a symbol of Diomedes, who went into battle with a shield, sword, and cuirass bearing a boar emblem. The symbol was inherited from his father, Tydeus, and it was this symbol which led to Diomedes' conception. After being banished from his homeland of Calydon, Tydeus found refuge in Argos. A dispute between himself and the Theban exile Polynices drew the attention of King Adrastus, who took notice of the boar on Tydeus' equipment and the lion on Polynices'. Adrastus had been told in a prophecy to 'yoke his daughters to a boar and a lion', and so had the two men marry his daughters. This would lead to the birth of Diomedes, the campaign and deaths of the Seven Against Thebes, and the subsequent War of the Epigoni.

Note: there is an issue where Diomedes' crest will be white and black when he first appears in the in-engine cutscene at the beginning of an Argos campaign. This is the only known occurrence of this issue, which seems to be a result of the first Diomedes shown in the cutscene not actually belonging to any faction.
