Introduction
If you are here, you probably dislike tesla turrets as much as I do.

They make you slow, delete projectiles, and can never be caught off guard.

Luckily, I have compiled multiple different methods that I have found to be very effective when trying to take down one of these modules.

Data was collected in the Hard difficulty.
1: Non-projectile fire
Accessibility: Easy
Effectiveness: Low

Firstly, we have just shooting the turret. This method benefits from the fact that tesla turrets cannot shoot down light firearms, but suffers from the fact that light firearms are very weak, and focus firing on a turret as you are swarmed by all sorts of other things can easily melt your shield. However, backing up and shooting outside the turret's range can make it easier, just make sure to watch out for any ambushers

PROS:
-Very cheap ammunition
-Can be done outside turret's effective range
CONS:
-Very slow
-You are very vulnerable
2: Battle drones
Accessibility: Medium
Effectiveness: Low to High

Drones are a fairly new concept, where the player can construct modules which fabricate drones. The player can then call these drones in the battlefield to restock on ammo, shield, health, and provide more firepower. The idea with this counter is that you call a drone with a non-projectile weapon (the Rattlesnake works well) directly in front of the turret, and the drone shoots at it. This method is similar to #1, but benefits from the fact that the player now is free to fight other COGs, and suffers from the fact that the drone's AI can sometimes pick a different target, and that the drone can be quickly killed if there are lots of enemies, making this an unreliable but powerful strategy.

PROS:
-High damage from weapons like Rattlesnake or Gatling Gun
-Automated (once the drone is called)
CONS:
-Drillship needs to be surfaced (so the drone works)
-AI may choose a different target
-Drone may be destroyed if there are lots of COGs
3: Melee + Support
Accessibility: Medium
Effectiveness: High

This strategy is very dependable and can help reliably take down turrets without any strings attached. The concept is simple; call a support drone next to the turret, and make your way to the turret yourself, using the drillship or terrain for cover. Then, just use a melee weapon and grind the turret down, using the support drone for heals. This method is best used if there are lots of COGs that prohibit you from using the other weapons, as spamming heals makes you near invincible. The only way this method falls apart is if the support drone is destroyed, where you are as good as dead (unless the turret is nearly destroyed). However, this can easily be fixed by making more support drones and turret drones to help you.

PROS:
-No chance involved
-Gives access to ship once destroyed (does not apply to lasers)
CONS:
-Too many cogs can easily overwhelm you
-Trying to fix the first con can take lots of resources and planning
4: Hacking
Accessibility: Difficult
Effectiveness: Incredible

If you didn't know, there is an item called "Hacking Tool" that allows you to open/close modules of enemy ships/lasers. It is unlocked from T3 production, but can be looted from T3 military tanks. Because of this, it is quite hard to get a hand on early game, but it is effective against tesla turrets. All you have to do is hold LMB for about 15 seconds and the turret is down.

PROS:
-Reliable
-Quick
-Can be done from range
CONS:
-Late-game
-Easy to get overwhelmed if there are too many COGs
5: Anti-Materiel Ammo
Accesibility: Very difficult
Effectiveness: Incredible

The new ammunition brought by the same update as the tesla turrets is literally designed to counter them. However, it takes lots of resources, time, and is fairly late-game. This and the hacking device are your two primary methods of taking down turrets.
PROS:
-Quick
-Can be done from very far range
-Reliable
CONS:
-Needs expensive ammunition
-Late-game
