How to NO play as a medic

  • Being a medic is simply "be the medic". Unfortunately, a lot of people do not play as a medic as they should. Simply rushing the battlefields killing every enemy they see. Once they are hit and bleeding, they simply heal themselves and continue. Most of these medics also have C4s. It's always handy to carry C4s with you for that extra vehicle destruction points but it's not how a medic should play. I don't even know why medics can have these things but ey, it is what it is.

  • Yes, you heard that right. It sucks. Imagine playing as a medic and not playing as a medic just for your own sake. WOW making a lot of kills, WOW leaving your mates down on the ground crying in pain left to die while you are focusing on completely other things. You, you, you, and only you.
If you are this type of player you should be banned for life in this game.

  • So here I am. After 15+ hours of playing medic and medic only, here is my full personal opinion, my personal point of view, and information regarding you playing as a medic like you should with some extras.

How to YES play as a medic

  • Keep in mind that your mission is to Heal and Revive your teammates, not focus on Kills. Killing is necessary to collaborate with the team, upgrade weapons, and protect yourself, but it’s not the focus of this class.

  • Medics gain XP by healing and reviving allies. The more you dedicate yourself to this, the faster you’ll level up.

  • Bandages are vital items for a Medic. If you run out, you can replenish them at Ammo Boxes or through Airdrops.

  • Always seek protection whenever possible when healing or reviving your teammates. Lying down and staying out of enemies’ sight is an effective way to heal.

  • In the midst of intense gunfire, choose the best moment to revive and heal your teammates. It’s a difficult choice, and in the heat of battle, it’s common for Medics to die while trying to save their allies.

  • The Medic Kit has a small area of effect, so you don’t have to be right next to your teammate to heal them.

  • When playing as a Medic, remember that this is a support class, and it’s expected that you help your teammates at any time.

  • Whenever possible, drag your teammates to a more protected location while reviving them. That’s what the F key is for.

  • You can always drop a Medic Kit for your allies. To do this, select the Medic Kit and press the X key.
How to get easy XP?

  • Check the section below to bind dragging and reviving at the same time.

  • Heal your teammates, simply hold right-click the whole time. If you see a lot of friendlies next to each other simply stay with them, drop one medkit box and stay with your mates the whole time. You can get an easy 10.000+/- points in like 5 minutes of intense battles going on and you as a medic standing behind your mates healing and reviving.

  • Capture and defend objectives at all times, trust me, you will get a lot of XP when killing enemies while defending your objective.

  • Get kills, makes sense of course. The more kills you have the higher the XP.

  • Carry C4s. Destroying enemy vehicles grants you 1500/2000 XP each time. Also comes in handy if you run out of ammo or see a group rushing you. The C4s are actually pretty great but keep in mind that they sometimes stick to a surface that you didn't even throw it on. Throwing it over a fence/wall sometimes makes it happen that the C4 that you threw over, comes back. This is a known bug that will be fixed.
Drag & Revive keybind
Have your dragging key and reviving key both on the 'F' button. This makes it so you can instantly drag your fallen teammate to a save place and revive your mate at the same time. Easy peasy!

smoke grenades are also extremely useful! they provide temporary concealment to go out and either get that one casualty in the middle of a field or get out of a bad spot to do medic things in

Medics are getting better, but they should still be required to read this.

Secondary binds are great for this, I have Revive and Drag bound a single mouse button for when I want to use it (which is most of the time)

You are 100% correct on that one.
