Reflect projectiles
Technique: Swing your melee attack into oncoming projectiles to reflect them back into whatever fired them.
Ground smash
Technique: While falling, aim downwards and use your melee attack, damaging any enemies below you.
Knife jump
Technique: Jump from the ground, aim downwards, and swing your knife, propelling you high into the air and setting you up for special attacks.
Demon shot
Technique: Perform a knife jump, release the melee button, and hold the ranged attack button. When you release the ranged attack button, you will fire one very accurate high-power shot that can pierce enemies.

Edit: As of Jun 24, 2023, the demon shot is now fired when you press the ranged attack button, not when you release it.
Blood shot
Technique: Perform a demon shot, but instead hold the melee button. The longer you hold it, the stronger your attack will be, and the more health you will lose once you fire. This attack is risky but has high spread and high damage, letting you decimate many enemies at once.

Edit: As of Jun 24th, 2023, you now need to hold both the melee and ranged attack buttons.
Gun hover
Technique: While in the air, aim downwards and shoot. This will slow your decent.
Reload/heal
Technique: Inflicting melee damage will fully reload your gun and partially refill your health. Centipedes in particular are a good source of healing, which will be essential if you use the blood shot with any amount of frequency.

There is one more secret unlockable ability too:

At 100k score you permanently unlock the "Taunt" ability. By pressing whatever key you have bound to Taunt, you basically fast-forward the waves. It will spawn in a bunch of enemies as well as hatch any spider eggs in the arena. I am honestly not sure of all the details but for high scoring runs, the ability to speed up waves and get a constant stream of enemies to heal with ends up becoming very useful.

I still do not know the exact mechanics for how the Taunt works, so anyone with more information on that would be appreciated :al_bug: :al_bug: :al_bug: :al_bug: :al_bug:

Interesting thing I found is that you can maintain your demon shot forever (and likely blood shoot) even after you touch the ground by bunny hopping.

Love this! By the time I looked for this I had found most of them, but was great seeing the few details i missed with how some abilities work. One thing I would add though is that the knife cool down is reduced and your gun's damage is increased while you're airborne. Also there is tech with canceling the ground smash with a wall jump, but not sure if you'd count that as a mechanic or if you'd just put that in a different guide for tech.
