While i'm not familiar with the original game, i must say this map was very well done (from the perspective of never hearing about the original game), and quite fun to play both in Normal and Random Run.

Speaking of, i loved your use of assigning the knife at the beginning to be exempt from being randomized, makes unlucky weaponless RNG not be too punishing, aswell as making all Nightmarishes not be randomized, makes for a very fun end-boss rush back to the exit. (and something i really miss from the base hardcode of Random Run, where it naturally doesn't spawn any Nightmarishes)
