I have used spears on them. I use a similar technique as the video. It's not as safe, but it's more reliable for me because I'm a terrible shot unless I have a lot of time to prep.

Thanks for this guide! So far I have been avoiding the bears but I will try this. Have you used a spear on them yet? I have an iron spear, I wonder how well that would do against them.
