just because the pq ending makes more sense doesn't mean that the true ending needs to make alot of sense, it can sometimes make a little less sense or nothing at all plus there are lots of proofs in the game play (don't trust the collected artworks) that the afton ending is the true ending.even the file of it is called the true ending. also, remember that gregory went back to the elevator with freddy even tho freddy said that they only can use it once. what if he was wrong or if freddy or gregory found a way to fix it? again, no endings need to make sense.
