[STEP 1]: Create your Trucker!
PROFILE CREATION

When you first start up the game, a screen like this should appear:

Click on "Continue game" if you already have a profile, there's no need to follow the rest of the instructions in step 1. If you want to create a new profile, click on: "New Profile". A screen like shown below should appear.

Fill in the information untill you end up with something like this:

---- NOTE ----

Please make sure you select a Volvo as your preferred truck.

---- NOTE ----

After clicking "Create" the game will ask you what your preferred gameplay options are:

DONE!
[STEP 2]: Home, Sweet Home!
HOME GARAGE

For your home/first garage, please select a city with at least 5 nearby cities. I would personally prefer to use Düsseldorf, because it's somewhat centered in the map and has loads of other cities close by.

The reason why you should select a city that is close to others is because multiple discovered cities give you more jobs to choose from since every city has it's own companies.

DONE! You should now get a short tutorial about the garage. Next, you get to see a screen like this:

[STEP 3]: Get Some Money!
JOB MARKET

In the Job Market you can find all available jobs. If this is your new profile, there won't be much to see there at the moment. As soon as you level up and start discovering more cities around the map, the amount of available jobs will increase.

I would suggest picking up the jobs that pay out the most money per kilomiter/mile, and aim for jobs that pay out somewhat between 10.000 - 20.000 dollars/pounds/euros.

After ± 15 jobs, you can go out and buy your very own Volvo truck.

[NOTE: WHEN YOU LEVEL UP, ALWAYS INVEST YOUR POINTS IN LONGER DISTANCES AND HIGHER PAYMENTS PER KM/MILE]

DONE!
[STEP 4]: Keep on Truckin'!
BUYING A TRUCK

After earning 100.000 dollars/pounds/euros you can buy your truck.
I would recommend buying a Volvo FH16. It costs just under 100k, has a good engine for the price and handles pretty good.

After you have bought your truck, you will spawn at your home garage.

DONE!
[STEP 5]: Rob The Bank!
LOAN MONEY

Complete a few jobs after you have purchased your truck and don't upgrade/personalize it. As soon as you have leveled up, the 400.000 dollars/pounds/euros loan will be available. Get this loan and go to your Garage Management.

Here you need to upgrade your home garage so it can hold 3 trucks and 3 drivers. The upgrade costs 180.000 so you will have 220.000 left. Buy 2 more Volvo FH16 or any other (cheaper) truck of this money. Use the spare money for fuel/repairs/fines.

Hire 2 level 0.8-1.5 drivers. Make sure they are cheap but not the cheapest. The more expensive a driver is, the faster he/she will level up and the more money he/she will generate. Cheaper drivers level up slower and generate less money but do costs less.

[STEP 6] Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat!
REPEAT

Repeat step 5 after you have paid back your 400k loan.

DONE!

Thank you for using this guide. Comments are appreciated, tell me what you think and how you would do this.

Q&A
Q: This guide does not represent the game anymore! What to do now?

A: As the developers keep adding changes and objects to the game. I cannot 100% guarantee you that this guide will still be relevant in a year or two. Please use the contents of this guide as useful information and don't (but do if you really want to) follow every single step I take during this guide. Guides contain guidelines, not rules.

Q: Why should I select a Volvo truck as my preferred truck?

A: I know everyone has his/her own preferences, but if you want to start off quickly, and get in some money using your own truck, Volvo is the way to go. The truck you select as your preferred truck is also the first truck that will unlock once you play the game. Therefore you should select Volvo as your preferred truck.

Q: When you hire drivers, do you get jobs for them, or will they get jobs automatically?

A: Hired drivers will automatically find jobs to complete and therefore will start earning money. You can select which type of jobs a specific driver should take in the driver manager by clicking on the preferred driver.

Q: I'm in a different city than specified in this guide, can I still follow the next steps?

A: It is your choice to pick a city. The only advice I can give is to choose one that is close to a few other cities. This way you prevent having to travel between 2 cities all the time. There should be no problems when following this guide during the next steps.

Why select the Volvo? This is a good guide but we all know the IVECO is a superior truck.

@Gaming_Thipje Basically what i do is get a pimped out Volvo Globetrotter XL and give everyone in my buisiness a bunch of cheap Iveco Stralis's, cuz they cost like what 72000 GBPs?

@WindowsErrors: I will look at the cheapest Iveco option and test it on the road. Maybe SCS has updated the handling and braking hp of the Iveco trucks. If they are any good in my opinion, I will edit the guide :steerme:

@Gaming_Thipje Yes, of course i would get Volvo trucks later on in the game, i would just start off my first 2-4 so garages with Iveco Stralis's, as when i looked closely, the Ivecos were the cheaper trucks.

@WindowsErrors: Ofcourse the choice is all yours, but keep in mind that the Volvo trucks have the best pulling power for their price. :nogo:

I would actually first purchase the Iveco Stralis, as it is the cheapest truck. Then you create a fleet of Renaults to piss off all renault haters.
