Getting Started:
First things first, complete the tutorial: you’ll have a personal vehicle, earn cash and rank up several times before entering Freemode.

GTA$ is for purchasing all varieties of in-game items, and RP is for leveling up and unlocking new upgrades and items.

Become familiar with your iFruit mobile smart phone: this will be used to accept Jobs, accept invites from CEOs and much more. Access your phone by pressing up on D-pad on the Xbox One and PS4 or pressing ‘T’ or ‘Backspace’ on PC.

To quickly join a Job to make some GTA$, pull up your iFruit and hit Quick Join – then select any available type of Mode or Race to jump straight into a public playlist.

The Internet can be accessed via your iFruit, which is where you purchase Vehicles and Properties, and safely deposit GTA$ into your Maze Bank account. Familiarize yourself with it by browsing a few of the many sites available.

Create and link your Social Club account to your Profile to receive a free vehicle and weapon.

Purchase a Garage once you’ve earned enough GTA$ to begin storing boosted vehicles, as well as any others you decide to purchase. Call the Mechanic from your iFruit to have a Personal Vehicle delivered to your location.
Player Interaction Menu:
The Player Interaction Menu is useful for everything from changing outfits to checking daily Objectives, registering as a VIP, managing your organization and much more. Access this by pressing M on PC, holding down the touch pad on PS4 and holding the ‘View’ button on Xbox One.

You can replenish your Ammo in the Player Interaction Menu by selecting Inventory > Ammo.

Snacks can also be consumed to regain health during combat by pulling up the Player Interaction Menu and navigating to Inventory > Snacks. Stock up on Snacks at Convenience Stores or at select owned Properties.

Body Armor purchased from Ammu-Nation can also be equipped in the Inventory Menu.

Passive Mode can be enabled from the Player Interaction Menu to protect yourself from other players. While Passive Mode is active, players will be unable to attack you, and you will be unable to attack them or use Weaponized Vehicles.

Instead of calling the Mechanic every time you need your Personal Vehicle, use the Player Interaction menu to request an active Personal Vehicle. You can also return your vehicle to storage in this menu if you wish.

Set your Spawn Point in the Player Interaction Menu to begin online sessions at an owned property or your last location. This helps avoid travel times when starting up the game or joining new sessions.

Registering to become a VIP (or CEO/MC President if you own an Office/Clubhouse) can open up a lot of additional gameplay and opportunities. To register, open the Player Interaction Menu and hit SecuroServ > Register.
Gameplay Tips:
Arm yourself with a decent sidearm such as the Micro SMG which can be fired while driving. A rifle like the Special Carbine will also come in handy to aid you in on-foot engagements and close combat.

Body Armor is essential for combat, both in and out of missions and Jobs. All Body Armor can be purchased at Ammu-Nation.

When you’re just starting out, try avoiding too many engagements with other players until you’ve acquired better weaponry and a higher rank. Bear in mind that while it can be fun to engage in some friendly Freemode competition, nobody likes a griefer.

If you hit the Online prompt from the boot menu, you’ll be placed into a public Freemode session. If you’d rather spend some time getting a hold on GTA Online alone or with friends, load up Story Mode and hit Pause > Online to find private lobby options.

You can always find a new session if you want to change player lobbies. This can be found in the Online section of the Pause menu.

Deposit your cash into your bank account via ATM or your iFruit often, as you'll drop some of the cash you’re carrying if you die.

Head to The Diamond Casino & Resort to spin the Lucky Wheel on the casino floor. You can spin it once a day for free and will have the opportunity to take home a free vehicle, GTA$, RP, clothing & more.

Work towards obtaining an armored vehicle. The Nightshark (available on the Warstock Cache & Carry website) is a top community pick as it is very resistant to attacks. This will be of great help during combat missions and beyond.

Use aircraft to traverse long distances across the map. These can be found in airports and dotted around the map. You can also purchase a Hangar to store your own aircraft.

Purchasing a Hangar at Fort Zancudo also give you low-level access to the area without a hostile military response.

When approaching a parked car to steal it, shoot out the window before entering to gain access more quickly.

If you’re trying to evade the law and remove your Wanted level, you can call Lester to have it removed for a fee. Alternatively, if you’d like to escape yourself, using tunnels around Los Santos can be a great way to lose even the most persistent pursuers.
Earning Early:
⭐ A great early tip is to become a VIP and complete profitable VIP missions. Recruit friends or other players to your organization by using the SecuroServ option in the Player Interaction Menu. VIP status will last for 4 hours before a cooldown is required.

⭐ Become a CEO by purchasing an Executive Office from the Dynasty 8 Executive website found on your iFruit. Office owners can register as CEOs whenever they like for however long they like and have access to exclusive missions via the desktop in the Office.

⭐ Keep track of the Weekly Bonus Payouts and Discounts - these can grant up to 2x or 3x GTA$ & RP on certain Jobs and activities, as well as discount certain vehicles and weapons.

⭐ Playing in an Organization rather than solo often yields higher GTA$ and RP bonuses, so team up if possible.

⭐ You’ll occasionally receive Job invites from contacts on your phone. Accept these to take on a variety of missions and tasks. You can browse the available list of Contact Missions on demand by hitting Pause > Online > Jobs > Rockstar Created > Missions

⭐ Head to a Series icon on the map to take part in a rolling playlist of Races or Modes. These featured Jobs often pay out 2-3x their normal rate.

⭐ Once you’ve gotten to grips with driving, take on Time Trials found on the map which will award GTA$100K for beating Par Time. These can be taken on once a week before they rotate.

⭐ Frequently changing up the Jobs and activities you do will keep your experience varied, as well as teaching you all the necessary skills you’ll need for challenges later in the game, such as Heists.
Heists:
⭐ There are many Heists available in GTA Online. These are large-scale, layered operations which require a team to take down a high value target, each rewarding large GTA$ and RP pay-outs for completion.

⭐ To launch each Heist, you'll need the following:

Hit Rank 12 and own a high-end apartment that has a Heist planning room to launch Heists from the GTA Online: Heists update. Purchase a Facility (from the Maze Bank Foreclosures website) to access The Doomsday Heist. Those who want to hit The Diamond Casino Heist will need to purchase an Arcade to begin planning. Players seeking their fortune on Cayo Perico will need to meet Miguel Madrazo at The Music Locker and purchase a Submarine to begin The Cayo Perico Heist.

⭐ Heists usually consist of Setup and/or Prep missions to acquire necessary assets and resources to use during the Finale, the execution stage of the Heist.

⭐ Sticking with the same squad, completing Heists in order and increasing difficulty are all ways to potentially increase your Heist take.

⭐ Before heading into any Heist, make sure you and your squad are fully stocked on Body Armor, Ammo and Snacks.
Businesses:
⭐ There are multiple businesses to choose from in GTA Online to suit your play style.

⭐ Be aware during certain business activities, rival businesses may intervene and destroy your cargo and assets. Hiring Bodyguards and other players to help protect your assets can help ensure your goods are delivered safely.

⭐ Business Battles are also available for CEOs and MC Presidents, which consist of competing against other Organization leaders to acquire Goods. These are Freemode-based opportunities which can take place at any time and bringing an associate or two along to help could be the difference between success and failure.
Biker Businesses:
⭐ The MC Clubhouse, once purchased and renovated, allows you to invest in a range of different illicit businesses, including Counterfeit Cash, Cocaine Locker, Weed Farm, Meth Lab, or Document Forgery. Manufacture product and take on Sell Missions to start building your fortune.

⭐ The Motorcycle Club will also allow MC Work to be undertaken, which includes access to several different game modes against rival clubs and more.

⭐ Clubhouse Contracts can also earn you GTA$ & RP - available on the Clubhouse wall.
Import/Export:
⭐ Owners of an Office can register as CEOs in order to delve into the world of import and export. Vehicle Cargo can be sourced, stolen and then stored in a player’s Vehicle Warehouse, purchased through the SecuroServ Network in an owned Office.

⭐ Vehicle Warehouses can store up to 40 vehicles, which can be sold to buyers by accessing the Vehicle Warehouse laptop.

⭐ You'll then need to deliver the vehicle to the Buyer, where you’ll earn commission for your sale. Be warned, the more damage, dents and scratches you acquire on your way between deliveries will incur a penalty and reduce your sell price.

⭐ Completing Vehicle Cargo Missions will unlock further opportunities for earning in the form of Special Vehicle Work, accessed from the Office computer.
Special Cargo:
★ Alongside a Vehicle Warehouse, CEO's can purchase a Special Cargo Warehouse through the SecuroServ Network located in their Office. After acquiring a Warehouse, Buy and Sell Missions will become available, where Special Cargo can be sourced via Buy missions, and then sold through the Warehouse laptop.

★Selling more Cargo at once yields better rewards, so when possible try to sell Cargo once your Warehouse is full.

★ The more Cargo in your Warehouse, the higher the likelihood of being raided, where failure to dispatch the attackers means your Cargo can be stolen.

★ Warehouses come in three different sizes and in numerous locations, try to pick one with easy access that isn't too far from your Office.
Air Freight:
⭐ Upon purchasing a Hangar from Maze Bank Foreclosures, you'll be able to take your illicit endeavors to the skies by sourcing and selling contraband at a profit. Head into the Hangar office to access the computer and you'll find yourself on the Free Trade Shipping Co website, where you can manage & source supplies. Steal a selection of different valuables, including Narcotics, Chemicals, Medical Supplies, Animal Materials, Art & Antiques, Jewelry & Gemstones, Tobacco & Alcohol and Counterfeit Goods.

⭐ Purchased aircraft & Pegasus vehicles can be stored and customized in your Hangar. offering your more options to personalize & weaponize your fleet.

⭐ Completing sourcing missions will unlock the Trade Price for different aircraft, taking a sum off the final purchasing price of the aircraft on Warstock Cache & Carry and Elitás Travel.
The Nightclub:
⭐ Manage, Upgrade, Hire and Dance your way to the top of the competition. The Nightclub offers GTAO players the chance to carve their own piece of Los Santos’ bustling nightlife by owning and customizing one of many Nightclubs available for purchase.

⭐ This Business is a great way to earn GTA$ passively, and as your business earns profit, you can take on other illicit moneymaking endeavors in the meantime.

⭐ By maintaining high popularity, you can generate a good amount of income over time. Head over to your safe in the Nightclub Office to collect your earnings.

⭐ Purchasing a Nightclub will allow you to purchase a Terrorbyte - a multifaceted 6x6 truck that acts as a control center for Cargo, Supplies and Motorcycle Club Business management. By opening the SecuroServ section in the Player Interaction Menu, the Terrorbyte can be called to a nearby location for use. It's a great asset to any budding entrepreneur, and highly recommended for dealing with multiple businesses at once.
Gunrunning:
⭐ Purchased from Maze Bank Foreclosures, the Bunker is the base of operations for arms dealers. This property grants access to the Gunrunning Business, where you'll be shipping and smuggling illegal arms around and across Southern San Andreas.

⭐ The Bunker offers a variety of upgrades such as the Shooting Range, complete with its own set of challenges.

⭐ One of the biggest advantages of owning the Bunker is gaining access to the Mobile Operations Center - a key component when it comes to the specialist customization of weapons and weaponized vehicles.

⭐ Completing enough Resupply Missions will unlock the opportunity to take on Mobile Operations Missions, launched from your Mobile Operations Center.
