Introduction
Sunrider 4: The captains return is an extremely fun game one I played like crack for over 5 days. It delivered on what it promised to be a hybrid Turn based Strategy game like Xcom and FF tactics, and a VN level narrative.

The game has 33 achievements which are split into 5 types.
1. Guaranteed - Completed chapter X (10) 10/33
2. Heart - Gain 10 hearts for a Heroine (7) 17/33
3. Upgrade - Fully upgrade a specific unit with credits (7) 24/33
4. Task - Complete a set of actions for a specific unit (8) 32/ 33
5. NG+ - Achievement gained from a second run (1) 33/33

To keep this short and sweet, I will be holding off all lore and story bits and will be extremely generic as I can. I will only comment a bit on how to complete task objectives, and list down the mechanics for the Choice driven components so people won't waste time they did something wrong.
Guaranteed achievements
Q: How to get the Guaranteed achievements?
A. Just play and finish the game, they are guaranteed.

See my other guide Beating the Space whales if you want to beat the game on space whale.
Hearts Achievements
Q: How to get the Hearts quests?
A. Each Heroine gets a status page indicating their affection level to the MC, you get these gradually as you progress to the game, but there are miss-able ones tied to the Heroine story lines. Note that the achievement is only earned after you choose the heroine in the post credits scene, not before. I use story lines loosely. Only a couple count.

The narratives are extremely simple and goes something like this.
1. Heroine: Oh Captain I need to do this ♥♥♥♥.
2. Captain: Oh? okay lets do it.
3. Something happens and you get a battle
4. Heroine: Oh Captain my hero!
5. The Heroine grants you a heart after you win the battle.

This means there are 5 ways to miss the heart.
1. You do not talk to the Heroine when her icon appears on the ship's floor plan.
2. You do not go through the battle and win it.
3. You do not get the Heroine's acknowledgement for completing the request.
4. You ignore the Heroine's wishes (More info in the task section)

This can happen if you rush the game and only complete the required missions. This is a waste as you will be missing out on both credits to upgrade your mechs, and perks from the Heroine bonuses. The perks range from Order commands, unit or ability specific related abilities, to finally credit reductions to repair for units.

This means that if you play normally, talk to everyone and beat the living crap out of everything you will get all these. The game has 8 Heroines but only 7 achievements. (two of them share one achievement, getting 10 hearts on one of them unlocks the achievement).

I said five ways right? The five way is to miss the heart by choice. Basically this game will force you to choose an action during chapter 3. When you do your actions will cause one heroine to look at you favorably and the other will withhold a heart from you.

I wont say who they are as I am avoiding spoilers. You will choose between a Genki and a Tsundere for those who are curious. If you choose the Genki, it is possible to get all 7 Heart achievements in one play-through. If you choose the Tsundere you can only get a max of 6 for that play-through.

Note: New game+ carries over affection ratings, so the choice becomes irrelevant as it is impossible to get less than 5 hearts on one heroine. Meaning you get 10 hearts regardless of how you play in two runs.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
After the credits, there will be an auto-save before the MC makes the choice. When you return to the title screen after watching one, just reload and choose a different Heroine. If you start a new game, or reload another battle the auto-save will disappear and you will need to play the last battle again.
Upgrade Achievements
Q: How to get the Upgrade achievements?
A: You need to upgrade the unit's entire upgrade list including alternation configurations. (For example, the Maray has three armor configurations, Titan, Balanced, and Rogue. Even if you will only use 1 of them you need to waste money on all three before you can get the achievement.) The same goes for units. It is neigh impossible to do these in your first run as Money is too short.

How do I do it then?
A: The only way this is possible is to do a NG+ run and Save scrum double bounty with divine prayer on all battles (38). Divine Prayer is an order that randomly gives out buffs and effects. One of its possible outcomes is a command called "All Bounties are Doubled" This will allow you to earn twice as much in every battle.

Why can't I just spam that in the first run then?
A: You only get Divine prayer at 8 hearts from a Heroine. By the time you get it you will only be able to use it for Chapter 8-10 which has less than 15 battles between the three of them. And while you have more earning potential late game, wasting them all to upgrade a single unit during the first run is not feasible.

Note: You cannot use Divine Prayer in the puzzle level battles. Further reducing the earning potential.

How then?
A: NG+ grants you carried over affection ratings for your Heroines, so when you begin an NG+ you will gain Divine Prayer from the very beginning. If you take all the battles you can use it and save scrum, you will max out everything before you even end your second run. Your repairs, revives will also be way cheaper boosting your income further.
Task Achievements
Q: How to get the task achievements?
A: For these I will dive in a little deeper.

Task 1: Actually Crow, I can do that
A: This is a required battle, basically you go up against a big ass ship you get a timer to last 8 rounds. Kill the bastard before the 8th round and you will win.

Tips:
1. Use Physical attacks as Energy based weaponry is useless.
2. Use Spellcaster's gravity gun to reposition.
3. Buff out Spellcaster's ATK buff and Command Order Full Forward
4. Hit from the left side or back once his HP goes below 23k, his front and side armor are 5 digits.

Task 2: Mark of the Sharr
A: This achievement cannot be completed until you get at least 8 hearts for the Archangel's pilot. Line up five targets in the firing line of the Archangel, the targets do not need to die, just getting hit will grant the achievement.

Tips:
1. Using the targeting reticule's red line to determine if the targets are lined up.
2. Use the Spellcaster's gravity gun to position the targets for you. Waiting for them to naturally line up is near impossible unless you are wholly outnumbered on space whale.

Task 3: Take the Wheel Claude
A: This achievement cannot be completed until you get at least 8 hearts for the Spellcaster's pilot. Cast the Command Order: Divine Prayer five time in a single battle, just prepare a full gauge and invoke five times.

Task 4: The Hero
A: This achievement cannot be completed until you get at least 8 hearts for the High roller's pilot. Get the High Roller surrounded by enemies and cast Awakening, you need to get them all in one hit.

Tips:
1. Use the Awakening offensively, use all EN to going into surrounded positions and explode.
2. You can heal afterwards using the Dominator, so just let loose.
3. Use the Spellcaster's gravity gun to position the targets for you.
4. easier to achieve with enemy mechs than ships, of the factions the Pirate faction units has the least HP.

Task 5: Watch and Learn
A:This achievement is hard to earn unless you upgrade the boost parameter of the Phoenix. Getting the affection perk of more combos also helps.

Tips:
1. Melee combos can miss, use lock if you haven't maxed out melee accuracy.
2. Increasing melee accuracy also increases the range the combo will trigger, so max if you want a longer chain.
3. Combos take the form of an S, you need spaces after the Phoenix moves or the chain will stop.
4. The Phoenix chooses targets with the highest hit rate if one or more targets are available to chain.
5. This perk will happen naturally in Chapter 10 battles due to the amount of targets coming after you.

Task 6: Lost Memories
A: This achievement is a mission chain, you need to complete two missions in order to get it. A Heroine will request you to do a puzzle level, (Yes, yes I know most everyone hates those). Afterwards you will be requested to do a second battle which will have a strange mechanic. Put the Heroine on a spot and let her die. So in order you need to do the following.

1. Complete Puzzle Level.
2. Engage in 2nd battle.
3. Place the Archangel on the specified spot and let the enemy kill her.

Failure to do all three will prevent you from gaining this achievement. Note, the Archangel needs to be destroyed. if you kill all the enemies the mission will succeed but the Heroine will blame you for not trusting her.

Tips:
1. The Archangel needs to gain the highest kill count in this battle in order for the enemies to target her.
2. Using the Paladin's taunt, or having someone else killcount will force the ai to prioritize them instead of the Archangel.
3. If you get into the bullet 2's situation, the only options are to let the enemies kill off everyone until they target the Archangel or restart the battle.
4. Do not forget to leave one enemy alive to kill the Archangel.
5. Have the entire group prepare last hits for the Archangel, it make the battle extremely easier.

Task 7: Whale Watcher
A: A Heroine will come to you and request a dispatch to save space whales, go in save them and you earn the achievement.
NG+ Achievement
Q: How to get the NG+ Achievements.
A: To get the Achievement "Secret Ending" Just finish the game twice.

Q: Wait what?
A: The achievement requires you to max out 10 hearts for all 8 Heroines. Remember you need to choose between one of them in your first play-through, so you will not be able to get all 80 hearts in one run. You can get all 7 Heroine achievements as one of them is shared but the Max hearts you can earn in your first run will only be 78. By the second run it won't matter so just finish the game twice.
Closing

The guide is missing one Task - Flyer Storm for the Dominator Pilot. Kill 5 enemies at the same time with flier drones.
It is very similar to The Hero Task. Use same setup
As tips I can say - wait for the 7-th heart to increase the Area of Effect Flier drones.
Use Neural Boost from Spellcaster and Full Forward to increase the damage.
I had to upgrade the skill quite a bit but you have to do it anyway for the Upgrade achievements so maybe leave this for the second play through
