Speed running Tactics After Finishing the Game
By IcyCyborg
Once you've beaten the game you can speed run it quite quickly.
There is still room for time saving.

To reduce spoilers to people who haven't finished the game I just refer to certain parts of the game as sequences and at most specify when the killer arrives.

You can do the end sequence on a new save and reach the end without dying.
The killer won't come at an earlier time if you just do the 1st sequence.
Trying the 2nd sequence requires waiting for the lightning at 9pm at least which may take too much time for it to be advantageous unless you are doing it without mistakes but makes the killer spawn around 7:40 afterward.

The quickest I've speed run the game is about 10 minutes just immediately going for it and waiting for the killer at 10:40pm.
The killer is faster and shows at 7:40 instead with 2nd sequence done.

Not many codes are randomized so doing a speed run requiring picking up all memory logs or doing all events should be pretty easy since only the minesweeper puzzle changes until done.

Yeah I didn't expect on my 2nd run for there not to be any safeguards to jump way further ahead. Especially that you can get the ending so quick you are just waiting for the elevator most of the run. I forgot if I ever checked if I could get the ending quicker by getting into the elevator from upstairs then pressing the button.

You can do some MAJOR sequence breaking with very little info. I tried speed running it just now.

If you know the combo for the cellar door and metal basement door, you have access to the elevator. After that, you really just need to do the attic button puzzle, and then flip all the switches in each room to the proper positions

It was kinda' funny. I opened the elevator door before the killer got there, and it stopped on that basement level He got out and started chasing me around, so I looped around the room and doubled back to get to the ending sequence.
