This is my first Achievement Guide, i hope it will help you finish the Achievements for this amazing game!


My general recommendation is to first play the game on easy all the way through to unlock the different classes and get used to the mechanics, before really going for all the Achievements, as the game is quite unforgiving.



Anyway, lets get right into it!

Complete a Sector in each Ship Class. Most Classes unlock after finishing certain Chapters for the first time, but the last 2 have more specific requirements.

Excelsior Rule:
Finish a Chapter with a Excelsior Class Battleship
You start your first run off in an Excelsior Class ship and you won't get another one until you finish the run. This achievement and the first Sector Boss Achievement basically have the same requirements.


Kaos Rule:
Finish a Sector with a Kaos Class Battleship
The Kaos Class is unlocked after you finish Chapter 1, and from here on you can choose between all your unlocked Classes.


Jericho Rule:
Finish a Sector with a Jericho Class Battleship
The Jericho Class is unlocked after beating Chapter 2.


Geno Rule:
Finish a Sector with a Geno Class Battleship
The Geno Class is unlocked after beating Chapter 3.


Hammer Rule:
Finish a Sector with a Hammer Class Battleship
The Hammer Class is unlocked after beating Chapter 4.


Void Rule:
Finish a Sector with a Void Class Battleship
The Void Class is unlocked after beating Chapter 5.


Horus Rule:
Finish a Sector with a Horus Class Battleship
The Horus Class is unlocked after defeating all Phalanx in a System.


Kronos Rule:
Finish a Sector with a Kronos Class Battleship
The Kronos Class is unlocked after beating a Prag Mah with its Interstitial Tracking at 0%.

As per usual the game gives out Achievements for beating bosses for the first time. All of these are unmissable in any successful run of a sector.

Jeef Skeejj:
Beat Sector 1 Boss
After reaching the end of the first Sector you will fight one of Mother's underlings. After beating him, you get this Achievement.


Jeff Skagg:
Beat Sector 2 Boss
Continuing on with weird Scrapper names, this Achievement works just like the last. Reach the end of Sector 2 and beat the Boss.


Meeting the Chapter Bosses:

Mother:
Meet Mother
This Achievement is NOT awarded for beating Mother, but for simply reaching her Boss Node. There can be significant delay on this Achievement unlocking, so dont panic if its not awarded immediately.

Pope Zenon:
Meet Pope Zenon
Yet again, reach and talk to Pope Zenon


Tetsuo
Meet Tetsuo
Reach Tetsuo and engage in conversation before battle.


General Vivar
Meet General Vivar
Reach and talk to General Vivar


Admiral Okonkwo
Meet Admiral Okonkwo
Reach Admiral Okonkwo and likely mispronounce his name a few times


Beating the Chapter Boss Achievements:

Chapter 1: Echoes
Complete Chapter 1
After beating Mother, you have to first go through all the dialogue with Kaliban before you have finished the Chapter and unlock this Achievement. Afterwards you will have to start from Scratch in the next Chapter.


Chapter 2: Infallible Flesh
Complete Chapter 2
Beat Pope Zenon, read all the dialogue and move through the Folder.


Chapter 3: The Man who sold the World
Complete Chapter 3
Beat Tetsuo and go through all the dialogue, before moving on to the next Chapter.


Chapter 4: Through the Looking Glass
Complete Chapter 4
Beat General Vivar and talk to Kaliban.


Chapter 5: Memories of None
Complete Chapter 5
Beat Admiral Okonkwo and go through what Kaliban has to say,

The Shutdown
Learn about the Shutdown with Bowie
Early on you will have a guy named Bowie contact you from a colony on a planet. He will explain to you the basics of the backstory and unlock this achievement.


Second Coming
First Awakening Dialogue played
After you restart a run for the first time, there will be unique dialogue with Kaliban, and additionally you will get this achievement.


Through the Mirror
Meet Ellys Idaho
After you beat General Vivar in Chapter 4, you will be contacted by another ship in the sector and have a conversation with another clone of yourself, before ending the chapter.


The Survivalists
Meet the Survivalists
Right at the beginning of Chapter 5 you will run int the Survivalists and they attack you. Your choices in action towards the end do not matter for this achievement.


Back to Ganyma
Return to Ganyma
During Chapter 5 it is possible but not required to stumble upon Ganyma. You'll eventually find it when replaying the Chapter a couple times.


Meet your Maker
Meet Oberon on Elyseum
After beating Admiral Okonkwo in Chapter 5, you travel to Elyseum, where you finally speak to Oberon, who reveals important information to you. Upon meeting him, this achievement will unlock.


Mercy
Choose to spare Oberon
When you finish talking to Oberon you'll have the option to either kill or spare him. You might wish to end him, but only sparing him will grant you an achievement. Oh well... there are several other opportunities to end him on other runs :)


Forsaken
Find Rebecca on Lazarus-9
In the 3rd Sector in Chapter 6 you will eventually come across Lazarus-9. You will then be given a choice to go down or to continue on. Choose to visit the planet to unlock this achievement.



Optional Quests:

Things persisted in not being what they seemed
Early in the first Chapter you will receive a quest to meet with the Neo-N Child in the next Sector, which is technically optional but there is no reason to skip it, as there is no obstacle and it gives vital info to the player. Just travel to the green dot on the Starchart after receiving the quest.


Kill the Doctor
Find and Kill Doctor Landa
In Chapter 4 you will eventually run into Doctor Landa, but he will escape. You do however take a prisoner, and he offers you a deal to tell you Doctor Landa's location in return for some scrap. You have to take the deal, otherwise you're locked out of this achievement until you replay the Chapter. Afterwards just travel to the indicated location and take out the Doctor.



Ending Choices:
After you reach the Master Node in Chapter 6 you will have to make a Final Choice. There are 3 options and to get all 3 achievements you will have to beat chapter 6 multiple times. However, you have to finish all chapters with every Class anyway.

Emperor of Misery
Chose to Rule harshly for ten Centuries


A Rock in the Dark
Chose to search for Earth


A Frozen Lady
Chose to Spend final days with Rebecca

Combat Achievements:

In Space no one can hear you Scream
Die for the first time



Deployment Achievements:

Careful Planning
Win an Expedition without any Commando loss
This is very simple to do, as the game will tell you how many Commandos are in danger of dying before starting the Expedition. You need to wait for a Deployment with no danger of anyone dying.


Plan for the Worst
Win an Expedition with a Predicament without any Commando loss
Same as the one before, wait for an Expedition to feature a great danger and no risk of Commandos dying


Survivor
Win an Expedition while losing all Commandos
This is a little trickier, as you need a prediction of all Commandos dying but your officer surviving. Otherwise not that difficult.


May his passing cleanse the world
Complete an Expedition involving a Sandworm without retreating
Wait for an Expedition to feature a Sandworm as an additional threat, then complete it without retreating.


Knightmare Frames
Complete an Expedition involving a Kosh Mech without retreating
Wait for an Expedition to feature a Kosh Mech as an additional threat, then complete it without retreating.


Ship Unlocks:

Hand of the Emperor
Unlock the Prag Mah special Battleship
To unlock the Prag Mah Battleship you need to beat a Prag Mah with their Interstitial Tracking at 0%. To achieve this easily, choose a Battleship with at least 3 Squadron slots, then attack the 3 Constructs at the same time, as when they are destroyed quickly the level remains at 0%. Then just win the battle.


Soldiers of Fortune
Unlock the Phalanx special Battleship
To unlock this Class, you simply need to find a Phalanx protected Node and clear out all Phalanx on this Node, usually that means 2 battles. Once this Node is clear, you unlock the Ship.

There are 17 Achievements for recruiting different Crew Members. These are special Crew that get saved to your Gene bank and you can clone and use them on all your runs afterwards. They can be encountered in random events or in shops.

Complete all Chapters with a Kaos Class Battleship on hard difficulty

Regular Battleships refers to all of them except Pragmah and Phalanx Class.


The Art of War
Complete every Chapter on hard difficulty with every regular Battleship
Same as before, but now on hard mode.


Savior
Complete every Chapter on easy or normal difficulty with every Battleship
You'll only need to do it with Phalanx and Pragmah Class if you already obtained Liberator.


The God of War
Complete every Chapter on hard difficulty with every Battleship
Now beat hard mode with Phalanx and Pragmah and you're done.




And thats it! All 79 Achievements done!
