please note: Even if you follow all of my tips, you might have to try it multiple times since it's still RNG somewhere. But my tips should help you getting the achievement easier
Content
Basic tips:
  • Watch out your sourroundings! Enemies can spawn right next to you!
  • Never(!) pick the laser weapon since it's worse than your base weapon
  • always pick up the shield and the speed buff
  • don't pick up the weapons as soon as you see them on the ground. Wait until it's almost vanishing (blinking)
  • don't switch your weapons as long as you still have enough ammo for the current one
  • If you see the same weapon you're currently holding, try to pick it up immediately, it will increase the amount of your ammo with the base value of it without a limit
  • All in all, the greenish weapon seems to be the best one overall, so try to pick it up instead of another one
  • Watch out for the slimes! They split up into multiple slimes when you shoot them!
  • Leave a little gap in between yourself and the edge
  • On keyboard, moving diagonally seems to slow you down a little, so walk in a box pattern
  • A lot of the game is remembering which enemies come at what times which you can tell by the song and the background transitions, and also knowing which weapons work well at which times

situation dependent tips:
  • Only pick up the flamethrower, if many enemies are nearby! Picking it up recklessly could possibly worse your situation due to it's short range
  • The greenish weapon might have the best range overall, but when the screen is full of enemies there might be better picks which pierce through enemies, like the shotgun or the missiles
    Be aware! It might be difficult to hit enemies with the missiles!
  • During the "zombie" phases, walking around the screen in a clockwise fashion can help getting most power-ups
  • Shotgun works quite well against the slimes and snakes
  • The green star weapon and the flamethrower seem to do quite well against the crystals, having a speed boost really helps to avoid them

I'd like to note that the asteroid section is made much easier by not shooting anything and just focusing on dodging.

i just got a deathless run but didn't get the achievement,, or maybe i died nad didn't realize idk.
i don't care about the achievement itself too much anyay more the procaess ofgetting it

When the angry faces spawn in, don't shoot them right away, just be sure to position yourself away from them and shoot when they start flashing. I think at the end of the game, I was using the machine gun power-up, don't underestimate it. I would image rockets work quite well at the last phase of the game and I recall using them on multiple playthroughs. Don't discount any of the weapons except the laser, it seems to go straight through enemies and you have to hit the side of the hitbox for it to register. I think it worked better on xbox, but I forget. A lot of the game is remembering which enemies come at what times which you can tell by the song and the background transitions, and also knowing which weapons work well at which times. Part of winning is getting lucky too, it's very hard to win with poor weapons, slow speed, and no shields. Good luck and I hope this helps someone.

Couple things seemed to consistently get me through the game. During the "zombie" phases, walking around the screen in a clockwise fashion seemed to help me find the most power-ups. Not sure if this just a parallax thing or if it's actually a real thing. Shotgun works quite well against the slimes and snakes. Don't shoot any asteroids, just dodge them to save ammo. The green star weapon and the flamethrower seem to do quite well against the crystals, having a speed boost really helps to avoid them, this part of the game seems to be the most luck based though as I've been swarmed by crystals and it's difficult to dodge your way out of a cluster.

I can't say for sure, I played solo, but I highly doubt it since it's just local coop where nobody can die
