Setting up Twitch Mode in Draw & Guess
Follow these steps to allow your Twitch audience to play along when you stream.

  1. Start the game and open a lobby.
Only the host can activate Twitch mode and make use of the stream functionality. If the host is disconnected, Twitch viewers won't be able to play along anymore.
Note: The host disconnecting does *not* automatically end the Twitch stream. It only breaks the guess-along connection between Draw & Guess and Twitch.

  2. In the upper right of the lobby, select the game mode you want to stream.
Currently there are two game modes that allow streaming: AI and Charades.

  3. Click on the Twitch icon.
Hint: For Charades mode, you can set the number of guesses allowed via chat in the window that opens. If you have 3,000 viewers, for example, you can limit the number of guesses to 100, so only the first 100 guesses are accepted.

  4. If this is your first time using Twitch mode, or you haven't used it in a while, click on "Show credentials". A pop-up appears.

  5. Enter your Twitch account name.

  6. Enter the Twitch connection key. To get that, click on "Get Key"
A browser window opens where you can copy the key.

  7. Click on "Activate?" and confirm the notification.
Congratulations, Twitch mode is now active! You should see "Twitch connected" in the mode selection, and your lobby code automatically disappears!
When you now start your Twitch Stream of Draw & Guess, the game will invite your chat to play along, and guesses submitted by your chat will be included in the game.

To deactivate Twitch mode, simply open mode selection again, click on the Twitch icon and hit the red X.
Setting up your D&G stream in Twitch Studio
It is recommended to set up Twitch mode in Draw & Guess before starting to stream. If you want to activate Twitch mode while streaming, make sure to hide your screen temporarily, so Twitch viewers cannot see your credentials.

Here is how to stream your Draw & Guess game via Twitch:

  1. Open Twitch Studio.

  2. Move your video to hide any prompts from your stream:
For Charades mode (2-16 players with 1 drawer, x guessers) move it to the top right. This is where your prompt selection will be displayed in-game.
For AI mode (1-16 players), you can move it into any of the four corners of the screen.

  3. Apply any other preferences you would like.

  4. Start your stream.

Some noteworthy points:
  • Playing Twitch mode overrides the player requirement! You can play Twitch mode by yourself + chat, or with friends + chat. Chat players will be listed on the scoreboard just like players who joined via Steam.

  • Draw & Guess will automatically send messages in the language of the lobby to your Twitch chat. These explain what players have to do to play along.

  • In Charades mode, chat players guess what players in-game draw.
In AI mode, chat players guess how confident our AI will be when it comes to recognizing the picture.
