Tuile Base Tileset

설명
3 tiles: space station with a house in the basement? (A), storage hall with cranes on the roof (B), metro station (C).

(A) just started as trying to get a grip on ProBuilder. Thankfully one of my first steps was to make a hole in the roof, setting a theme of at least some verticality in the set. I kept being reminded of System Shock while making this. The very much unpolished vending machine is definitely System-/Bioshock in mind.
(B) is mostly inspired by Receiver 2's levels.
(C) started as an attempt to build something based on the Alexandra Road estate, which I ran into at https://www.tiktok.com/@joris_explains/video/7228181447813631258 . It turned into a metro/subway station.

#leveldesign on Twitter kept me company. Hey, did you know Receiver's level designer Aubrey Serr did a talk about his work? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTBor4rhnQs

Thanks to Jackerino for letting me realize tileset mods are even possible (and such fine ones too - see the Industrial Tileset).

Thanks to the entire Receiver 1 and 2 modding community, keeping my interest in the games and leading to this.

Wolfire too obviously. :)

This was made with ProBuilder. Some export issues require exporting to FBX and then adding colliders and setting some properties. Annoying overhead, here is a summary:

Post-export steps:
- set all static
- add mesh colliders
- hide ramp renderers (if present)
- set ramp layer (if present)
- set lights to mixed

Here is my done todo list for posterity. I probably deleted the earliest tasks:

DONE bottom make closet useful, make ramp useful
DONE roof make pile more jumpable
DONE roof break sight to turret on top
DONE bottom place gift at hideout at entrance
DONE mid entrance diag annoying, place it in front instead, extend, break bridge turret sightline
DONE bottom turrets in tunnel clipping light :(
DONE Add goodies to shelf
DONE mid make it possible to jump up the crawlspace midlevel, add turns/2nd level to pipes for this? remix them again
DONE fix all faces of the weird reverse t piece
DONE make top barrel roof turret handier to shoot?
DONE Texturize
DONE Make static lights
DONE Place static lights
DONE A block pipes so you cant headbump through
DONE A basement goodies on roof reachable by spamming, remove or move
DONE A basement head bump in tunnel, make underpath see B
DONE A B railing too high, lower by 1-2 steps
DONE A multiple possible player start locations!
DONE B multiple possible player start locations!
DONE C multiple possible player start locations!
DONE C categorize lights/stairs
DONE B jumping stacks all suck... add smaller package step
DONE (i think) B roof put prize on roof
DONE B roof doors too tall, wide, narrow and lower by... 2?
DONE B mid level bent box to weird, make broken instead? (no, hide it)
DONE B roof windows too high, lower by 1-2 steps
DONE B roof border too wide, too tall, lower by 1-2, half thicness
DONE B add thanks jackerino
DONE A?B?C? some weird bug spawning midair not unparented level entities? (didn't add tileC to holder)
DONE A make basement roof to goodies jumpable
DONE A categorize lights/stairs
DONE A move nonsense ramp items to shrine
DONE A drone by top mid stairs merges ligth through wall into pipe area, fix
DONE B fix getting stuck amidst boxes by window
DONE B move 1 more basement item from shelf to boxes by window?
CANT C make windows semitransp? No idea what material would work
DONE [kinda] review default levels, maybe increase drone counts
DONE C raise low railings a little, so you don't fall off by accident... esp at least at staris/ramps

I'll be the first to say it; this is a clear advancement from the last tile mod you posted. Good on you, man, seriously. We need more tiles!
