Mine peaks at 24gb starting up xD Goes down to about 14 gb in the menu and eventually goes down to about 4-5gb while ingame.

Also a good idea to find mod performance spreadsheets and remove problem mods, I had a lot of issues in the past before I removed those.

@Taking Regards To The Zoo,
Gotta' remember to have Graphics Setter installed for the RimPy Texture Convert too, thought that tool didn't work for the longest time until I finally got that mod.

It probably is.
Rimworld has a lot of mods, but that's a double-edged sword. Not all of these mods are made of the same quality and something like a memory leak could easily happen if someone doesn't know what they are doing. There was also an older, and far more destructive, bug I remember people having that had to do with Sound Files and it was because of Modders not really understanding exactly what they were doing. But, I would imagine by the fact that this issue doesn't get mentioned much anymore Ludeon themselves did something to prevent that from happening in a past update.

Ever so often I'll go through and remove older, more established mods that do one thing but haven't been updated in a very long time with newer mods that do the same thing but maybe don't have the same amount of installs.

I got into this habit with Bethesda Games and honestly it's never let me down.

It's like some mods causing memory leak. I saw a picture showed a guy who have a 128 GB memory computer and RimWorld took 73 GB after start up.

Mine used to do that before I ran Rimpy. It has a texture Converter that changes everything to DDS format. Actually, when I had sky-high memory usage, it was much worse. Like... "OUT OF MEMORY" Blue-Screening worse. I don't know if all Computer do it, but mine would make this loud beeping noise directly from my motherboard whenever I was out of memory. I'm about 75% certain it lead to one of my older SSD's corrupting somehow. Last Summer (August Specifically, It's a part of the summer where I live) I had to replace two out of my three drives around the same time because of corruption.
