Thanks for all the work you've put into trying stuff out I'm sure some will find it useful!
Sorry for the second comment: Steam comments have a character limit I guess lol.
Have you tried playing seated? It helps in my experience. You could also use Big Screen to play it on a big theater screen instead of gluing the screen to your face; still a pretty cool experience imo.
IMO, Virtual Desktop is the best screen capturing software to use for SBS. It looks the best and in my experience, has the best performance. It's only 15$ on Steam and $20 on Quest and enables far more than just HatVR so it's pretty worth it IMO. The Quest version even has the perks of letting you emulate a xinput pad with your Occulus Touch controllers, so no need to fiddle with a bunch of opensource drivers from github if you want to accomplish that.
ALVR is also great if you want to use the Steam version of VD for just screen capturing and ALVR as a free streaming tool. Saves you about $5 and has a wired option, although it's annoying to set up.
Still need to figure out how to get headtracking emulated, but after that's settled then TBH Vorpx becomes kind of obsolete.
