"During the high of the space race, The United States of Kerbin launched the Ranger series of probes to observe the Mun. Ranger 3 was a probe designed to transmit a live video of it's crash on the mun to allow researchers and people to see their Mun up-close for the first time. During it's travel, Ranger 3 spun around to take a photo of Kerbin during it's accent to the Mun."
