The basics
Shrimp are your resource gathering units. You CAN accidentally select them with the rest of your army so be careful.

Build Bio Cache near the green circles with a dripping rock in them. These are your resource gathering points. They eventually run out. Shrimp will go from the nearest Bio Cache to the nearest dripping rock and look for a new one once it runs out.
Shrimps will auto gather if left on their own and will defend if needed (they also wont just ignore enemies that are within aggro range)

Build Nodes in a chain towards other resource points so you have access to more resources more quickly.

As your economy grows, build more spawning pools so you can pump units out faster. You can que up multiple units.

Build a Quantum Cortex and upgrade it when you have the resources. This will unlock new units and buildings.

The AI is super dumb and there is no attack command that I can find. So if there are enemies about just make sure your units are close enough to them to aggro.

You can build new hives as you tech up. This doesnt seem to give you anything other than a bigger building area than a node and a second HQ if your first blows up.

Go forth!

the best strat i seem to have against siege tanks or anything humans have really, is to mass eco than use all three ranged units as a giant horde. if they stay spread out than aoe wont harm too much while they can focus down all but siege tanks, behemoths in large groups focusing the siege tank will melt it pretty quick but you have to make sure they are still spaced out and focusing the tank instead of anything else, another way to counter siegetanks would be crabs oddly enough cause their melee is pretty great armor piercing disspite being really really wimpy in health, their speed can out match siege tanks however but not so much if you got a armored car or quads in the location guarding, that my take atleast, someone else might have better idea but this seem to help me alot and it cause mayhem on humans and caused them to lose resources really insanely quick due to trying to send reinforcements that is too weak to range spam.

Always Be Scouting.

Defend your shrimp. Ask yourself how much is a shrimp worth? It is not just 100 bio, it's a lot more than that, the longer a shrimp is alive the more bio it can give back to the hive gathering. It is important to keep them working and their walking distance to bio storage short to reduce travel time.

Until you get to Gamma III, your lesser crabs are always gonna trade down against human units, even with overwhelming numbers. Closing the gap without losses is difficult, use your starting hunter to zone quads away until you can build scorpion which while slow can keep anything other than a tank away from your eco.

After some tryin Aliens out, Crabs, Armored Crabs, and Impalers do seem to suck. Crabs are weak, I can't even tell HOW the Armored Crab is supposed to be any stronger than its weaker cousin, and Impalers's Shots are irritatingly inaccurate against Enemy Troops making them feel seriously low quality. Also, feels like no Alien Unit in the game can stand against the Rail Tank, and the only way in hell to beat a Siege Tank is pilot a Goliath & slowly scuttle up behind it and hope it never sees you comin before ya crawl up on top of it to somewhere it can't aim its gun then Melee it down. If the Siege Tank does see ya comin too soon and opens fire on ya while ya are still a distance away, ya can kiss your ass goodbye in 3 - 4 hits you're way too slow to ever evade, dodge, or juke.

I know you're just giving a quick run down but the units seem so stupid and get rolled hard, talking about crabs, the armored crabs and the ranged unit, but the units from the greater pool are so expensive. Got any tips or just need luck to roll a spot with multiple resource spots nearby to out economy the humans? Once the humans make contact they start to swarm and the ranged units seem so much stronger.
