Hi, I am a victim of an account that was hijacked and I lost about 700$ worth of items from my account.
I brought this to Steam and they would not do anything since they claim that duplicating an item would inflate the Steam market and when I suggested that they credit me because their system is broken, they simply dismissed my case.

I would like to see if there's been any progression on the lawsuit?

Just happened to me, No warning from Steam guard, no Login history, only an email after the scam trade was compeleted

Got hit on July 7th with SteamGuard enabled to E-Mail that also has 2FA (and there were no breaches with that E-Mail) with a single login from CN Guiyang Guizhou, got EAC banned on Rust because of it. I only had a few hours played in that game, years ago, was wild looking at my profile and seeing it as the most recent played game when it's not even installed on any of my systems. SteamGuard is definitely just a false sense of security, because session stealing is alive and well in 2024 if you have a malware compromise or middle-man attack.

They did not fix it. It happened to me today.
