Living Like Larry: A guide to playing SCP-106 (Pre 13.1)
By Hook Master
A hulking tank of legend reduced to nothing but a slinking coward. SCP-106 has had quite the history in Secret lab, but his current incarnation is that of the stalker/hunter, who picks people off 1 by 1 until they all are subject to his torture.

General Purpose
As SCP-106, your job is to pick off survivors out of groups and intercept important targets. Your handy dandy map makes you rival 079 in terms of map control, and if you play your cards right the only escape from you will be the cold hands of the reaper.

- Use teleport to control the map (Learn room shapes and layouts)

- Use your underground sneak to reposition before a fight to pick off enemies before they can see you
- Keep your team close, you're a sitting duck when caught alone

- Your footsteps are loud, consider letting your prey come to you

- You're a scary presence, scary enough to spook someone into running into other SCP's. Occasionally help your 049 make more zombies instead of teleporting them to your dimension.
Stats
SCP-106 has a fairly large health pool of 2000 with a base hume shield of 300. This hume shield scales all the way to 900 at 20% HP.

He moves at 4.5 m/s, faster than a walk but shorter than a sprint, making him a good option to chase, but not as good as 939.

His attack deals 40 damage and sends victims to the Pocket Dimension.

Pocket Dimension
A horrible, dark, green hellscape of echoing screams and curses. Here your victims are forced to play the slots to see if they live or die.

There are 2 correct exits that change with every escape or death, so be wary that not every capture is a guarantee. If you have a 079, kindly ask them to check the numbers for the respective class you captured, depending on the computer's tier.

There is no input from you here, but do be aware that any escapees will be in the same zone as where they were captured, so they won't be too far.

Vigor
Vigor is 106's power supply. He uses it to slide around underground and teleport, as well as regen his shield while stalking. It drains when stalking and drains based on teleport distance when teleporting.
This vigor is restored by 30% for every capture and increases while you move, discouraging camping.
Hunter's Atlas
This ability gives 106 complete map control, but only if used right.
Hold your inventory button (tab by default) to open a map of your surroudings from a bird's eye view:
This view increases with your vigor charge, and the teleportation range scales with vigor usage.
(Teleporting further away = more vigor used)
Note: Shields will NOT recharge while teleporting.
Tips:

- Cut off fleeing players by teleporting ahead of them, but be wary of the time it takes to crawl in and out of the ground

- Use the map function to identify important rooms and locations to help your 079 to turn off generators.

- In the nuke silo, you can bypass the elevator and teleport back to heavy containment. Useful for surprising a fleeing victim.

Stalk
Pressing shift with over 25% vigor will allow 106 to sink into the ground, moving quickly and regenerating his Hume Shield. While moving vigor drains at 9% per second and 6% while not moving. Hume shield regenerates at 10% per second regardless.
Stalk makes you move quickly and silently, but also causes you to lose sight of humans at a distance. The distance you can see them increases the lower their health is.
Tips:

- Use this as an escape tool, not a chase tool. That role is better suited to the hunter's atlas.

- Don't be afraid to back out of a situation to recharge Hume shield. You'll get them eventually.

- Staying stationary is sometimes the best play possible when being chased by a group. If they assume you're running away, you'll have the element of surprise.
General Tips and Tricks

- 106 is one of the least reliant on 079 to secure kills, but is also one of the better ways for 079 to gain exp

- Work with your computer to see if your targets have successfully left your dimension or not.

- Elevators are your friend, as you're the only SCP who can make themselves invulnerable on the spot. It can also be beneficial to use stalk to enter an elevator unnoticed when pursuing targets.

- You are one of the weaker SCP's when caught alone on surface. You lack the speed and teleportation to manuever around large groups and will die in seconds. Stick with other SCPs when pushing onto the surface.

- Feigning an escape pairs well with closing doors behind you, giving opportunities to secure kills on overextending enemies.

Note: This is on a Dr. Bright's server, meaning the nuke is automatically engaged after ~20 minutes and an SCP 035 plugin is enabled.
While these don't change much, it's still worth noting when comparing to other server experiences.

This game was an amazing highlight of the general gameplay of 106, utilizing his various skills to keep humans constantly looking over their shoulders.
